From Drumeo:

"It started with Taylor Hawkins.

In March 2022, his tragic passing left an unfillable void in the drumming world.
This set off a fascinating chain of events that saw 5 drummers swapping seats over the following 2 years – and it only resolved a couple of weeks ago when Slipknot announced their new drummer.
Stay with me here…
One year ago, it was announced that Josh Freese was leaving The Offspring to join the Foo Fighters.
So Brandon Pertzborn left his gig at Suicidal Tendencies and to move into The Offspring seat – leaving a gap in the celebrated thrash metal lineup.
Suicidal Tendencies fills the gap with Instagram up-and-comer, Greyson Nekrutman – and this is where things get interesting…
In November, Slipknot announced they’d be parting ways with their drummer of 9 years, Jay Weinberg.
Shortly after, Greyson Nekrutman announces he’s departing Suicidal to join the beloved Brazilian metal group, Sepultura – speculation ensues.
Famous drummers and media publications think this means Sepultura drummer, Eloy Casagrande, is the new drummer of Slipknot…
And they were right.
Eloy’s official joining of the nü metal pioneers was announced on April 30th. But that’s not the end of the story…
To complete the loop, former Slipknot drummer, Jay Weinberg, announces he’s joining… yep, you guessed it, Suicidal Tendencies.
Thus concluding the biggest drum throne switcheroo in history.
If that was too much to follow, we made a handy graphic that explains the whole thing

I hope this brings you up to speed on the movement of your favorite drummers – and maybe even gives you a few ideas for concerts you might like to see this summer.

Keep on drumming,

- Jared Falk"

Born 100 years ago, Cordell Jackson was an American guitarist thought to be the first woman to produce, engineer, arrange and promote music on her own rock and roll music label.
Jackson founded the Moon Records label in Memphis in 1956. Unable to break into the Sun label's stable of male artists, she received the advice and assistance of RCA Records' Chet Atkins in forming this new label to release her music. She began releasing and promoting on the label singles she recorded in her home studio, serving as engineer, producer and arranger. The artists recorded included her and a small family of early rock and roll, rockabilly, and country music performers whom she recruited from several Southern states.
Her Moon Records label was the oldest continuously operating label in Memphis at the time of her death in 2004. The 50s Rock on the Moon of Memphis, Tennessee + an Oddity, a compilation album of the label's 1950s singles, was released on vinyl in the early 1980s and was later sold on compact disc until her death in 2004.
She died in Memphis in 2004, aged 81.
