🎉 Portland-based ShadowMachine's stop motion animated feature film “Pinocchio” won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature! “Pinocchio” employed over 300 Oregon creatives during its four years of production! Ellipsis has been busy swinging down to LA to meet with filmmakers, to move several feature films forward, and with securing a new home for the studio. We are beginning our search for a director for a low budget horror/sci-fi feature film, The Wolf, to be shot next year in Oregon. The shoot is estimated to last about two weeks, and there will be compensation dependent on experience.

What we are looking for -

Film Director Responsibilities:

Prior work with actors
Interpreting a script and understanding the story and narrative style
Overseeing rehearsals
Identifying set locations
Working within budgetary constraints
Managing conflict on set
Adhering to a production schedule
Coordinating with camera crew, art directors, costume designers and musical composer to ensure a consistent creative ex*****on
Assisting in the marketing and promotion of the film

Film Director Requirements:

Experience directing short films, industry knowledge and technical expertise
Experience managing budgets
Creative mindset
Attention to detail
Excellent verbal communication
Good organizational skills
