SCREENWRITING: EIGHT WEEKS TO A FIRST DRAFT

THE CLASS: You are finally ready to write that screenplay that has been rattling around your head...now what? OR; You have written a screenplay but aren't sure if it is working. Old story or new inspiration, either way this class is the right one for you.

In this class we break down the structure of story and fully develop your idea into a proper script. We begin with the basic 3 act structure then break it down even further into fifteen beats... our signposts to completion. We will work together for eight weeks, developing your script. This is an intensive course that gives you the discipline and commitment it takes to keep writing. You will have completed first draft of your script at the end of the eight weeks.

PRICE: The course is $250.00 and taught by local writer/producer/director Steve Coker. (Sign up before May 10th and the class will only cost $200.00).

On Saturday, each week for 8 weeks we will meet to discuss your work and develop your voice as a storyteller, all while teaching you the fundamentals and language of the screenplay.

SCREENWRITING: EIGHT WEEKS TO A FIRST DRAFT
THE CLASS: You are finally ready to write that screenplay that has been rattling around your head...now what?
OR: You have written a screenplay but aren't sure if it is working. Old story or new inspiration, either way this class can help.
In this class we break down the structure of story and fully develop your idea into a proper script. The course is $250.00 ($200.00 if you register before May 10th) and taught by local writer/producer/director Steve Coker. We meet on Saturdays from 12pm to 3pm to discuss each weeks work and develop your voice as a storyteller all while teaching you the fundamentals and language of the screenplay. It is an amazing class that has helped dozens of writers get their stories on the page.

Over the past year I have found myself watching some things that I never thought I would watch… I used to tease my friends for watching other people play video games on their twitch accounts, etc.
…but recently designing a board game, I find myself actually watching board game play through a!! Either as a way to know whether it’s a game I would like… Or in some cases, because the people playing those games are hilarious. with all of that being said, I am linking this post to a video that Cole and I made yesterday playing the Adventures of Dex Dixon game on tabletop simulator: a virtual board game space. It is a little long, obviously because it’s being played virtually, but I thought I would just share some of the insights of what it is to be a game designer now. And also to see how good it looks on a virtual table. Check it out and let me know your thoughts!!
