I bet you didn’t know there were six stages of a peony bloom… Well typically you only hear about the first three mentioned I mentioned in the video, but I’ve always been fascinated by a peonies bloom cycle. Yes most people enjoy them when they’re in their early bloom or blooming stage, but I actually love it when they’re starting to fade and when they’re completely blown out. I think this makes peonies even more interesting in arrangements or flower centerpieces. One note to keep in mind if you want the longest case life, you want to harvest your peonies at the marshmallow stage. Remember to give them a little bit of a squeeze and if they feel like a marshmallow, then they’re ready to harvest. Save this as a reference for later. #peonies #peonyseason #peonyflower #peony #flowerfarming #coralcharm #peonias #peonylover
One of the sweetest flowers to use in flower arrangements are sweet peas! These little treasures add softness and a beautiful scent to an arrangement but also look beautiful on their own or in your garden. They are heavy feeders so a great way to kick start them is by amending your soil with compost and a good fertilizer, I use Bio-tone Starter fertilizer. Make sure to water them in after planting, and plan to water them 3-4 times a week afterwards.Planting them 8 inches apart ensures enough space for them to flourish and not compete with one another.#flower #sweetpeas #flowerfarmers #cutflowers #flowerarrangement #flowergarden #cutflowergarden #springflowers

It’s the season of love, and I love any excuse to spread more love, especially with flowers!! Here’s one of the easiest gifts you can put together for a a friend, a loved one, a neighbor, or for yourself! Here’s how I did it: I used a vintage soup bowl, I don’t really know if it’s a vintage, but it’s a soup bowl that I got at a garage sale from my neighbor, three hyacinth bulbs (or tulips) and a little bit of moss. I know what you’re gonna say there’s no drainage hole in a bowl. Yes, you are correct but this isn’t going to be in this container for very long, the point is for the person receiving this gift to enjoy indoors and to then plant the bulbs into their garden. Come back tomorrow for a beautiful arrangement I’m putting together for my mom. 💜 #gardening #valentinesurprise #purpleflowers #hyacinth #giftideas #flowerarrangement #flowergardening #purpleflower
