MY HUSBAND PHOTOSHOPPED A "PERFECT" VERSION OF ME AND PUT IT ON THE FRIDGE WITH A NOTE THAT READ "YOU HAVE A MONTH TO BECOME HER"
Picture this: You're coming home after a long day of working, parenting, and just trying to keep it all together. You head to the kitchen, ready to unwind with some tea, and there it is — the ultimate slap in the face. A picture of you. But it's not actually you. It's your face Photoshopped onto a Victoria's Secret model's body, placed on the fridge with a note that reads: "You have a month to become her."
That's what I walked into last night. My husband Ryan decided it was his job to "fix" me.
When I asked him what the hell this was about, he looked so smug. "I just want you to be your best self, to look like someone I can be proud of again. You've let your body go, and honestly, it's hard to even feel attracted to you anymore. This might remind you what I need from you as a wife."
What? I've been running myself into the ground, balancing work, parenting, and his impossible standards. But okay, Ryan. You want me to "become her?" Game on.
Let me be clear: I wasn't about to cry in the bathroom or storm out yelling. I don't operate like that. If Ryan thought he could humiliate me into some crash diet, he was about to learn just exactly who he married. ⬇️
