Out today! Lynn Avery & Cole Pulice’s “Phantasy & Reality”, their patient and spacious follow up to their ambient jazz masterpiece “To Live & Die In Space & Time”. On “Phantasy”, Lynn plays grand piano, nylon guitar and various synths and Cole plays tenor sax, bass clarinet and wind synth. The textural quality of the work is at the forefront here, with field recordings and the physicality of the instruments providing a grounding force for these floating compositions. Like the title implies, Lynn & Cole’s sound and vision straddles two blurry worlds: Phantasy & Reality

Also features contributions by on upright bass and on trumpet

Out today! Lia Kohl’s “Normal Sounds” is built around field recordings of human-made, non-musical sounds: fridge drones, grocery store beeps and car horns all woven together alongside cello and synthesizer. It’s easy to overlook the charm and wonder of these everyday sounds and Lia is inviting us to listen to the world through her ears. The record also features contributions from Ka Baird () on flute and on saxophone.
