Lia Kohl’s “Normal Sounds” is built around field recordings of human-made, non-musical sounds: fridge drones, grocery store beeps and car horns all woven together alongside cello and synthesizer. It’s easy to overlook the charm and wonder of these everyday sounds and Lia is inviting us to listen to the world through her ears. The record also features contributions from Ka Baird () on flute and on saxophone.
