Instagram is bringing plenty of changes for 2022. In the past few weeks and days we have been hearing a lot about all the changes that IG has been implementing and are rolling out gradually-as they usually do. I think they have been listening to feedback from users. Some of the changes will open a window for organic growth that we all should take advantage of.
One the changes is the ability to choose how do you want to sort your feed. Soon you will be able to sort your feed in three different ways: Favorites, Home and Following.
What does this mean?:
⭐️Favorites- Will show you posts of accounts you have starred or marked as favorites.
🏠Home- It is the default, the one we have been using until now. This one is algorithm driven. It will also show you posts from accounts you don’t follow.
✔️Following- No algorithm and no suggestions. It will show you posts from accounts you follow.
This change will be rolling out gradually, so keep an eye on your feed for when your turn arrives.

However, it’s been awhile since my last post. The reason why is that I have been taking care of my new and existing client’s social media accounts. That is a good problem to have.
Social Media Management is one of the services my company offers. I give my clients back the time they spend running their social media profiles so they can actually run their business.

I loved everything about it, but my favorite part was the antiques store exhibition.
So many great places to visit in the Florida Treasure Coast. I really enjoy living here because of the variety of activities and places to go with our family.

Well, well, well… who would have thought 💭 that today we were going to be without Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp 😱 for so many hours. I have to admit that I kind of liked it (after panicking for about an hour 😂). It was a nice break after all.
However, it was not like that for many, many people. I was reading and article on the Washington Post that stated that in India, Lebannon and Jordan depend heavily on WhatsApp due to the cost of the phone calls and texts. The article also said that India has 400M WhatsApp users. Imagine the impact this outage had.
Besides that it also explained that in the Middle East, the public and government depends heavily on Facebook and WhatsApp to communicate. So, today’s outage meant a “near-complete communications blackout”.
Ok, enough about the world 🌎. How what it form you? Did you enjoy to be disconnected for those hour or did it affect important communications? Tell me, I am super curious to know.

Let’s continue with our conversation about DMs. Here are 4 Types of Interaction DMs you can implement immediately:
Re-engagement (reconnect)- This is to reconnect with customers. It is important that they feel they are important to you and that you remember them. This way they will be more open to buy from you again and recommend you. For example, “Greetings (name), I remember that you are fans of the Miami Heat. Congratulations because you won last night. How is everyone doing?”
Surprise DM - This one is sent to a follower or someone you've been following, but don't know in person. For example “(name), I want to congratulate you on the healthy recipes you share. They have given me many ideas to improve my diet ”.
DMs from your stories- Followers are more willing to interact with you through stories with interaction stickers for surveys or for comments. This is a great way to start engaging with followers who could later become customers.
Send DMs to others' stories - Take advantage of the opportunity to send DMs responding to others’ stories. You can answer questions, play games, answer polls, send a comment to a story or even something as simple as responding with an emoji.
Don’t forget to be professional in all of your interactions. Remember these DM’s could easily become of publish knowledge if the other person decides to take a picture and share it.
I hope you start thinking about and using DMs on a way that could grow your business.

However, I am also sure that there is something unique about what you offer, that makes your business different. That is called “Unique Value Proposition” and it should also be evident in your content.
