Wow, a post. Crazy, I know, because, well, Facebook can suck it and what not. But anyways...I digress.

So I’m putting out a request- sometime in the past couple years, I was asked to lend out a guitar to someone. Which happens a lot. It was a gig emergency. So I did. And that person picked up my diamond anniversary Fender Deluxe Strat, two-toned burst, in a non-original black soft case embroidered with Levin Music, in my driveway and off they and the guitar went. And I never wrote it down. And it was never returned. And that kinda sucks because I don’t remember all the times I help a friend out and in this case it appears that it may have cost me a guitar.

So if you’re that person, I’d love for you to return it to me. Please.

Waveburner Recording is on haitus for the foreseeable future. Time and life prevents involvement in recording sessions for now. I will be focusing on my stamp collection and my books on tape series covering the indigenous insects of the upper black swamp region. Stay tuned! or don't.

Also- get off Facebook- you're wasting your life on it and it's doing absolutely nothing for your artistic career. nothing. ziltch. nada. stop justifying its use as necessary for your "career".

Just finished up for the year at WaveBurner Recording Co.- putting the wraps on the 83rd album I've mastered this year- a light year but fortunately, the quality of talent keeps getting better. 2016 will be the studio's 20th year of business and I'm very excited for the year to come. Quite a few projects are in the works right now and a couple of new ones are peering over the horizon. I want to thank all of my clients from past to present and two individuals in particular who made this studio possible. Dan Mahoney- whose commitment to and belief in the art is the main reason this studio exists and David Ott, who built the walls that still resonate with magic to this day. Thank you fellas for all of it. I'm eternally indebted.

I would like to extend all my best wishes to everyone out there for a safe and prosperous New Year and please promise me one thing for the upcoming year- BUY the music you consume directly from the artist. Support the art and its creators. The majority of musicians never recoup the cost of producing their music. If you like it- flip them some coin. It only encourages them to make more!

Ever since I really dug deep into his catalog of work back when I was 20, Tom Dowd has been my muse and guide in how I approach recording and life for that matter.
