URGENT UPDATE: Venue Change for Claudia De la Cruz
Campaign Event, Oct 29th
The Democratic Party has kicked us out of the library! Through a small technicality, with just 4 DAYS before our scheduled campaign event, Democratic Party operatives have called into the library to complain that they were not also given “fair access” to this public venue.
Any of the Democrats, at any time, could have attempted to organize their own campaign events at the Donelson library. This is a public forum, with free access to all community members. In addition, any Democratic Party representatives could have also reached out to us, as the Party, to directly talk with us about the event.
Instead, they called in directly to the library with the express purpose of forcing the PSL to find a new venue.
We are grateful to the Donelson Library Branch staff for being willing to host us - despite supporting us, the Democrats forced their hand.
We will have a new venue to host Claudia De la Cruz and let Nashville hear from one of the few anti-genocide, anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist, pro-worker candidates on the ballot in the US this fall.
