Go take a hike! No, seriously.

Did you know that both districts of Assateague Island (Maryland and Virginia) have awesome hiking trails? In Maryland, there are 3 hiking trails, and in Virginia there are 8.

While hiking on the trails, make sure to bring and/or wear:
🥾Water.
🥾A lightweight, long-sleeved shirt.
🥾A hat.
🥾Sunglasses.
🥾Sunscreen.
🥾Bug spray.

Hiking on the trails is encouraged and is a great way to learn about the environment around you. However, it is not permitted to leave the marked trail or to harm any plants/animals. That means you cannot “pick a pretty flower” or get a picture standing next to a horse. Remember to leave no trace and have fun hiking!
