The Marshall County Commissioners held a department head meeting this morning to discuss COVID-19 planning for the county buildings. Going in effect Thursday, March 19, access to the Marshall County Building will be limited to staff and individuals for who have an appointment.

The doors will be locked, those who have an appointment will be allowed in.

Members of the public who need to conduct business will be required to call the department they have business with to make an appointment.

The public is being urged, in the interest of safety, to conduct all the business they can by phone and email.

More detailed information will follow as press releases are issued from each department with instructions.

Please understand that the response to COVID-19 is subject to change as new information becomes available to the Marshall County Health Department and the Marshall County Commissioners.

Signage will be posted on the doors of each building.

Please be mindful that those who have court hearings should abide by the current order issued by the Marshall County Courts. That order is posted on the doors of the Court House. A separate post contains that information to avoid confusion. Court as of today is still in session within the boundaries of those guidelines.

We have attached a link to the Marshall County website with a list of departments and phone numbers to this post.

Please be patient with government leaders as they address concerns with the safety of the staff, the public, and families.

A list of contact information for Marshall County Department heads will be printed in the Pilot News, online, on the Marshall County website at co.marshall.in.us.

Information will also be posted on the doors of the Marshall County Building.
