Last, but certainly not least PSTV’s Executive Producer, Kamden Spicer

Kamden Spicer is PSTV’s Executive Producer for the Spring 2022 Semester! He is a Senior double majoring in TV Video Production and Digital Media. Throughout his journey through PSTV, Kamden’s favorite thing is that no matter how busy we are, we always find a way help each other. Kamden is someone who always is there to lend a hand even if he is juggling multiple other tasks. His advise to his Freshman self would be I to keep doing what I’m doing and they everything eventually will work out the way it is supposed to. In the future Kamden hopes to work for NBC in New York City. We know you can do it and we wish you nothing but success in your future!

Manager spotlight!

Bailey Dell'Erba is a Senior double majoring in TV Video Production and Digital Media with a minor in Public Relations. This semester she is both the Executive Sport Director for the Men and Women's Hockey team as well as the co Social Media Manager. Her favorite thing about PSTV is no matter how long the crew has been shooting for, or how tired everyone is, they come together to create amazing content. Everyone is so supportive and embraces any role they are thrown into. “I’ve met some of my best friends at PSTV and I've met some people who will definitely be famous one day! The family atmosphere always turns a bad day into a great day.” The advice Bailey would give to her Freshman self is, Push yourself to talk to more people and get out of your comfort zone. It wasn't until sophomore/ Junior year where I really pushed myself to connect with more people and to explore more of my creativity. It can be hard, especially if you're more introverted, but so worth it in the end. Bailey’s dream job is to work on a creative team as a Public Relations Specialist. She aspires to combine her love of creating content and pre production with her passion for PR.

Kicking off the week with another crew spotlight!

Patrick Mahunik is a junior Broadcast Journalism major. His favorite thing this semester has been the ability to learn how to shoot shows hands-on rather than learning through lectures only. In the future, Patrick hopes to work as a commentator for an uncensored pro sports broadcast and working with WWE or AEW.

Bella Asmat is a sophomore double majoring in TV Video Production and Digital Media. Her favorite part about PSTV is coming together as a team to put together live productions. Nick Bogoluboff is a senior double majoring in TV Video Production and Digital Media Production with a minor in Broadcast Management. This semester Nick is working on an original show called “The No Title Show.” Stayed tuned to find out more about the mysterious show. Nick said his favorite thing about PSTV is, “For me its gotta be being able to just use your creativity to attempt to make something that you can be proud of. Having 8-10 people work with you towards your vision is really empowering and a fun process if you plan it out and everyone works together. Seeing that vision you have in your head come to life is extremely gratifying. Also just bonding with the crew is really cool too as you can see them develop passions towards what they're doing and to see them getting into your idea as well.” Advice he would give his freshman self is You don't need everyone to be your friend, just do what you think's right, be confident in your actions, and don't doubt yourself if you think you have something good. Nick’s dream job is to be his own boss. Whether it’s creating videos, movies, music, he wants to be able to do it without financial worries. He says that as long as he has a stable income I'm more than satisfied with life!

Ixchel Granados is a junior Broadcast Journalism major. Her favorite thing about PSTV is being able to be behind the scene when filming the shows and then watching the final products. Ixchel wants to work in New York City and be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of all kinds of productions. Her energy and positivity make PSTV even more fun!

Lauren Bishop is a junior TV Video Production student. Her favorite thing about PSTV is The opportunity to work hands-on in a studio environment and becoming well rounded in all the different crew positions. Lauren said, “It’s cool to know that people all across Plattsburgh can see our work on TV.” In the future Lauren has dreams of working in the TV series realm of production! She hopes to either direct, edit, or be a set dresser for a series under a streaming service such as Netflix.

Nicole Liebowitz is a senior majoring in TV Video Production. Nicole has been apart of PSTV since her sophomore year! This semester she is helping to contribute to the news, hockey games, and classmates shows. As well as the crew learning their way around a studio and control room. She is also excited to be making my live special CMM Showcase with Savanna Barse and Bailey Dell'Erba featuring some of the different production majors here on campus. It will highlight a few of the work they’ve been able to create in classes. Nicole said her favorite thing about PSTV is, “My favorite thing about PSTV is being in the studio watching the newscast or seeing the fun and creative processes my classmates put into their shows. Even when I was a crew member, I always enjoyed PSTV and the friendships that were made from creating another "home" in the studio. It gives you experiences in different positions whether that be director, producer, camera, writer, and others that all come together to put on that news broadcast or show.” Some advice should we provide to her freshman self is to always ask questions whether that be to professors or classmates because you learn the most information from those unexpected conversations and opportunities. In the future Nicole has aspirations of working in the industry as a Producer on different projects and shows being on location or sets in a studio space. Another goal she wants to accomplish is being apart of a red carpet and interviews and short videos that are seen during those events.

Nate Bordeau is a sophomore TV Video Production major! He has been a great help while filming show. Nate did an amazing job capturing replays during the Plattsburgh hockey games. His favorite thing about PSTV is the access to our PSTV resources and equipment. In the future Nate hopes to write and direct movies or television shows. Thank you for all you hard work, Nate!

Lyndsey Aldous is a senior majoring in TV Video Production. Lyndsey has been an amazing crew member and does all she can to help PSTV. So far her favorite thing is Filming our TV shows particularly setting up cameras for a real production. She loves learning new equipment that she hasn’t used before. In the future, Lyndsey hopes to to work behind the scenes on set. She loves to write scripts and enjoys setting up cameras to get the best shot possible.

Meet Joe Mason our first crew member spotlight! Joe is a Junior majoring in Broadcast Journalism. Joe’s favorite thing about PSTV is everything! He enjoys changing crew positions to better understand what goes into working in the industry and being around people who share the same passion as he does. He said “I’ve really enjoyed covering the hockey games too, doesn’t hurt that we’re pretty good. Go Cards!” His dream job is to be either a news anchor or report play-by-play for various sports. Keep up the great work, Joe!
