When you see this mug, are you singing the Marineland commercial?

I know the commercial ran in other parts of NY and Canada, but hearing this song brings me right back to 1992 and being a kid in the No Co.

Hell, simply seeing the word "Marineland" makes me break into song which means I needed to thrift this today.

Bowie was so fundamental to how I grew and developed as a human and I know he was that for many of you, too.

"Cat People (Putting Out Fire) was the first song I heard on the radio, before I got the word he died. I was impressed simply by a clearly chosen DJ pick.

This photo (taken in 2016) was my attempt at "Young Americans" era Bowie for a costume contest at Higher Ground in Burlington, about a month after his passing.

My Facebook memories reminded me of this today

Bobby is gone too, dying way too young in 2010.

I'm so grateful for having music to bring me together with people. From sharing songs and stories to mix tapes and going to shows.

I have made so many friends and connections through music and when I reflect on them, I am overwhelmed and amazed.

So know that if you've ever shared a musical moment with me, to quote ee cummings: "i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)"

Hey everybody! I’m in quite the financial pickle. See, I can’t pay my bills this month. Even though I have applied to so many jobs in the last several months, I rarely get an interview or a call back. Sometimes I even wonder if my resume is making it to the folks who do the hiring.
