Word of the Week: Prepare
Mark 1:1-3
Are you ready for the coming week?
On one hand, you’re probably not ready—how can you be when you don’t know what’s going to happen?
But you can adopt an attitude of readiness: a confidence, joy, and peace knowing that whatever happens today will either be a) good or b) something God can turn into good.
One benefit of having a regular morning Scripture routine is that it helps you be ready for life. When you study God's word, you prepare yourself for whatever comes.
Readiness is about responsiveness.
Don’t do a morning routine just to fix yesterday’s problems. Do it so you can be ready to face whatever today brings with wisdom and joy.

John 14:6
People don’t usually ask questions when everything’s going great—when things are “fine,” you just keep going. People tend to look for different solutions and new approaches when something in life isn’t working.
If, truth be told, not everything is “fine” in your life right now, you may be ready to discover a different way.
Real change begins when we seek what is true.
Now, here’s the key: Jesus said, “I am the truth.” (Not, “I will teach you what is true.”)
If Jesus is right, it means truth isn’t an idea—it’s a person.
It also means that the closer we get to Jesus and the more we become like Him, the more true and real life becomes.
More Like Jesus is a devotional/Bible study focused on what it means to be with Jesus, become more like Him, and live like He did.
When we seek to become more like Jesus, what we discover is joy!
