Mellon Park at the Corner of Shady Ave and Fifth, the weekend after labor day will host the Craftsmen's Guild Of Pittsburgh's wonderfully presented A Fair In The Park!
Share in the Fine Arts and Entertainment on a spectacular weekend at one of Pittsburgh's most beautiful Parks, which was the home of the Mellons during the Gilded Age.

APPLICATIONS ARE LIVE FOR THIS YEARS AFIP. Being one of the board members who helps organize this event, I know the caliber of the artist and quality of the show that we put on. If you'd like to join our happy group of artist please apply. Not only do we put on a great show, but we treat our artist with lots of love!
This year marks A Fair in the Park's 54th year of celebrating fine craft and the artists who create it. This artist led event is produced by the Craftsmen's Guild of Pittsburgh, an all volunteer organization. It has become a Pittsburgh tradition for over 15,000 attendees and is held in beautiful Mellon Park, which dates to the gilded age. You'll find us at the intersection of the affluent city neighborhoods of Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, and Point Breeze.
The Fair is free to the public and draws strong community support. It is rated one of Sunshine Artist's Top 20 Fine Art and Design Shows.
Drive-up loading and unloading (weather permitting) is offered. Amenities include free parking, security, booth sitting and more. Included is a Saturday night artists' party with complimentary food and drinks.

Baltimore; what classy city. I love coming to
the ACC at the convention center. I love seeing my fellow vendors friends, making new vendor friends, my new client friends, talking with people and being around fellow artist! This is my last show in Baltimore and I will truly miss this lovely city. My priorities have changed and I’ll have to adjust to an online business.
A big thank you to everyone who has supported my business, and me, over the years. There’s a bitter sweetness to ending the show scene. And I’m glad it was inBaltimore, a city that I love.

It's been an unprecedented 6 months, I know. Creativity for most artists is very low, including myself. Shows are canceled through most of next year due to covid and it's a very depressing time for everyone. I thought I'd be more creative with the lock down, but find as most artists do, that the impetus to create comes from you, our clientele/friends. I miss getting my energy from talking with and being around my patrons and other artists, but am working on getting my mojo back! One thing that I have been working on is my new website. And I'm very happy with the results. I still have my etsy account but am transitioning to big cartel. You'll find that I have most of my bags online now.

A Fair in the Park is a 51 year old artist-led, artist -run fine arts festival that takes place September 11-13 in Shadyside's Mellon Park in Pittsburgh. Outstanding live music, artist demonstrations, hands-on activities, plus a variety of food choices are featured throughout the weekend. A Fair in the Park is an artist-led, artist-run fine arts festival presented by the Craftsmen’s Guild of Pittsburgh.

About A Fair in the Park

This annual contemporary fine art and fine craft festival will take place September 6-8, 2019.
The show hours are
FRI: 1pm-7pm,
SAT: 10am-7pm, and
SUN: 10am-5pm.

A Fair in the Park is held in the lush surroundings of Pittsburgh’s Mellon Park. An estimated 20,000 dedicated visitors enjoy the opportunity to interact with over 100 regional and national artists working in a variety of mediums including clay, fiber, wood, jewelry, glass, metal, mixed media, and two-dimensional art.

All Members of the Craftsmen's Guild of Pittsburgh are offered a booth space at A Fair in the Park. Each year approximately 60% of the artists at the Fair are Members of the Craftsmen's Guild of Pittsburgh, who have become Members by passing a rigorous jury process. The remainder of the artists at A Fair in the Park are selected by a jury from a large pool of national and international applicants.

This is a free and open to the public event, held rain or shine.

Just returned from a fabulous show in Baltimore at the convention center, which hosted the ACC. Saw old friends and made new ones! I love Baltimore! Thanks to all who made this weekend a big success. So happy to see my old friends and supporters, and it is wonderful to begin new relationships.
Love people who love, and support the arts!!!

Next show Wilmington DE at the end of July.
Between now and then, look for my new website, which should be live by the beginning of April, if not sooner.
