My favorite ice cream around/near Pittsburgh is 🍦 I know everyone raves about Pages & Millies but Al’s is the best to me! It’s in Clairton, the prices are great, portions are insane (this is a small cone- the large is like 12 inches tall!) and the employees are super kind! 💖

The little shop is right on the side of the road so if you’re ever in the area, definitely stop by, you won’t be disappointed!

We checked out the newish .t.a.pgh bar 🍹🥃 the other night

It’s a Japanese 🇯🇵🏮themed cocktail bar located next door to the Warren

E.T.A. is decorated super cool with tons of posters, lanterns, and cut outs from famous movies - like Godzilla, and even Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It’s a tachinomiya. I learned that tachinomi translates to “standing while drinking.” - which is something we do a lot of 🤣

E.T.A. has tons of unique cocktails, beer, and sake.

I unfortunately didn’t get many good photos of the drinks, but did get the dumplings 🥟 and the sexy senorita roll 🍣 from

Definitely looking forward to going back here and trying more fun drinks with my sushi 🍱

Last night we went to one of my favorite restaurants to celebrate our anniversary 2.5 weeks late😅 We’ve been so busy & were out of town last weekend. It was so nice to have an amazing meal together and not be making reels 😭 (I love making content but sometimes you just want to not take content, or snap a couple pics then eat)

For dinner I had the Long Island duck 🦆 my absolute favorite. I like the gnocchi that comes with it but really wanted different sides. I didn’t know this was an option but I got the braised kale & prosciutto risotto that usually comes with the double cut pork chop! You can change your sides! I absolutely LOVED the risotto. The duck is always cooked to perfection

Shane had the Red Pepper Casereccia with scallops. The scallops were amazing! I usually am the one to get scallops but at Casbah I like to get the duck. Shane really liked his whole meal! I let him try the duck and he loved that too. He said next time he’s getting the duck or the filet. Next time, I’m going to try the swordfish or the branzino

For our appetizer we shared the Grilled Spanish Octopus. I’ve heard mixed reviews about this but we ended up really liking it! The portion was huge also. It comes with asparagus, potatoes, and chorizo- so it was super good and very filling for an app

Dessert was crème brûlée 🍮 which was fabulous! I was stuffed so I only had a couple of bites and took half of my duck home with me as well. Great meal!! Really want to take my parents here next time they’re in town

I finally had the pleasure of trying 🌟🌶️ and WOW!! I was blown away.

I LOVE hot sauce. I put it on everything. I’ve tried many many hot sauces. Including tons of the “Hot Ones” “Hanks” and lots others. Arties is fantastic!

We tried Hoppin’ Jalapeño, Habanero Island, Triple Pepper Threat, Hot & Sour Serrano, Pizza Shop, and the NEWEST one - Honey Sting 🍯

All were great. We used chicken fries 🍟 and fried pickles as vessels for the sauces

My personal favorites were: 1️⃣Triple Pepper Threat, 2️⃣Hoppin’ Jalapeño, and 3️⃣Habanero Island

The flavors are crazy good. The heat is a** kicking. The Habanero Island is SO hot but soo good. You can tell how much care and love go into each bottle! You can tell each bottle has great ingredients. I personally garden and grow habaneros, jalapeños, and other peppers so it’s wild seeing someone make these amazing sauces from simple ingredients.

If you’re a hot sauce fanatic, definitely check out 🌶️ great LOCAL Pittsburgh hot sauce!

So many good things to say about .ptbreeze !! You will get sick of hearing about it

Totally from scratch cooking. Pasta🍝 & pizza🍕 completely from scratch. Their pizza dough is perfection 🤌🏼

The ambience of the restaurant is super intimate & cozy. Every table has a real candle. There is a gorgeous outdoor patio with whimsical lights. My friend kept saying how it was such an intimate spot for a date - I think she was disappointed I wasn’t someone tall, dark, and handsome🤣 We had a blast and were the last ones to leave the restaurant- the girls love to yap! Will definitely be returning.

Always a great meal at 🦪

We were just in Hilton Head and I can honestly say Pittsburgh has way better oysters!! We are so lucky to have such great spots around. Merchant has added a lot of other oysters to the menu and now has more than Muddy Waters. Definitely recommend if it’s been awhile since your last visit. Great food!

Had a major Sunday Funday yesterday which turned into an all day bender and me being a menace to society

To start off my shenanigans, I had a wonderful brunch at 🍳🍗🧇 to celebrate my friend Lauren’s birthday

I had the Smothered Chicken Biscuit and it was incredible. I couldn’t even eat half, so I toted around my leftovers all day with me (Today- no clue where they are- hopefully in my fridge) I have been to the Abbey multiple times but never for brunch. I had high hopes and was not disappointed

My friend Bre had the Bacon Egg & Cheese sandwich, and my other friend Bri had the Late Breakfast Burger 🍔

We all enjoyed our food & had a great time♥️

Great April foodie meetup last night at 🌮🌯🇵🇷

I’ve been here once before and was excited to be back! This time I tried the birria tacos 🌮 which were phenomenal!! The dip was spicy🥵🔥🔥 but really good. So much flavor, great tacos. I also tried a beef empanada which was also fantastic!

The most unique-to-me thing I’ve tried that I’ve never ever had before, was the “Rellenos De Papa” which was a stuffed potato, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside and stuffed with beef! It was SO good.

My fiancé and I combined our leftovers into 1 box and he ended up leaving it at the restaurant- so he was in the dog house for about 20-30 minutes🤣 today I am a new woman and trying to move on from my forgotten meal. Looks like I have an excuse to go back soon🙂

It was awesome meeting some new people, and putting a face to some Instagram handles that I have been following for awhile! I love the meet ups and I love the Pittsburgh food scene 💗 thanks again to for organizing!!

Incredible dinner at last night! 🍝

One of the best italian restaurants I’ve ever been to! Oh what a treat this place was!! If you’re ever in Hilton Head and don’t have dinner plans- you need to go here.

Here is everything I ordered:
Calamari
Spaghetti & Crab 🦀
Baguette 🥖
Espresso Martini 🍸
Wine 🍷
Regular Espresso ☕️
Cacio E Pepe pizza with sausage (to go order, not pictured)

All their pasta dishes are completely from scratch and they make all their pasta in house. The spaghetti & crab was one of the best italian dishes I’ve ever had.

The calamari was fabulous. If calamari is on a menu - I’m ordering it. The cacio e pepe pizza was also very good. I got this to go for my fiancé because his flight didn’t get in till midnight, and I knew he would be hungry. He really liked it and I got to try it

I actually dined here solo. I didn’t sit at the bar, but chose a reservation at a high top table. It was one of most comfortable solo dinners I’ve ever had. I now have people coming up to me, telling me how “confident” and “badass” it is sitting down in a nice restaurant solo and dining alone🤣♥️ which is very sweet!! I personally feel very comfortable sitting at a table alone, eating, drinking wine, and enjoying my own company. Urge you to try it! This was such an unforgettable dining experience. Special thanks to my server, Gio, who went above and beyond.

Of course we had to celebrate this weekend (as if we needed an excuse to go to a nice dinner) we checked out after hearing great things

We had:
Meatballs
Burrata
Mussels
Crab Cakes 🦀
Wine 🍷 & Champagne 🥂

Everything was great!! The meatballs were fabulous and a big portion for an app. The Burrata was great, also a large portion, I loved the tomatoes 🍅 and assembling the perfect crostini for myself. The mussels were my main and they were very good, but could have used some garlic & lemon. Shane had the crabcakes and they were really small and were a “main”
- I think they could have used a side. Even for presentation purposes so much of the plate shouldn’t be empty😌 Luckily he got full on apps!

We had a wonderful evening and we would pay this place another visit in the future!

I know fish fry season is wrapping up and if you’re tired of the humble fish sandwich (gasp- I know, I’m starting to get tired of them though) then you need to try the fried mango tilapia from 🥭🎣

This dish is amazing!! One of my favorites. It’s SO good. The fresh mango & the sweet & sour sauce are just a chef’s kiss combo

Absolutely love the “cottage combo II” also- their pork dumplings are insanely good, the chicken satay is fantastic, the sauces with everything are unreal. It’s a must try dinner!

I haven’t had food from here in YEARS because I didn’t have the best experience a couple of times…but wow has it changed. The food was great. I don’t know what they’re doing different but it’s improved! Loved the nachos the best, the smoked chicken on top was amazing

Happy St.Patty’s Day!!💚 We had a great meal at yesterday and of course one of us had to get the reuben to get into the spirit 🥪

I had the the French Onion Soup Broiler Pan Burger and I swear it just gets better and better everytime I order it!!🍔 It’s basically a french onion burger with no bun but with toast underneath. We also had the Matzo Ball soup & caesar salad- both were perfect. I love Matzo Ball soup!! And a caesar salad has never let me down. 🥗

Although focuses on UK/English food, they have a large menu with many Irish favorites!

I love their Bangers & Mash, Scotch Eggs🥚and Shepherds Pie 🥧 but they also have a brunch with Irish Boxty, Corned Beef Boxty, multiple burger options like the “Pub Burger” (pictured) Irish breakfast, English breakfast, bread pudding, and lots of other great eats!

If you’re looking for a good spot to grab some eats this weekend- definitely check it out!

Last night’s Lent dinner was from Big Jim’s in Greenfield. This place was only 15 minutes away from us, short wait time, and good food. We can’t wait to go back and try their regular menu!

This is another Guy Fieri approved joint, featured on Triple D! We’ve been going to tons of Guy joints lately- so you know we’re eating good. We had both of their lent options, the mozzarella sticks, and I tried a seasonal IPA that was on tap, everything was great!

Never got around to posting about 🍹

I’ve heard some pretty mixed reviews & experiences and our experience was just alright. Was here for a friend’s birthday, and we all thought the food was decent. I had the seafood pot pie, we split a couple of apps, and the birthday girl had a beautiful cocktail.

My friend Ruth & I split a bottle of wine. It took us so long to get our bottle and they kept telling us they didn’t have anything we asked about. Finally after checking for 4-5 different brands they found one they had in stock (this took a half hour)

Even though the food was decent, the service wasn’t good and we agreed it was just an okay spot

I’ve had other friends try to convince me to go back and give them another chance and I know people who rave about it. Personally, I just wasn’t a big enough fan to go back. I think it’s more of a novelty place to link up with the gals & take cute pics & drink a cocktail but wouldn’t go back for dinner or a date night. A better date night would be burgers & an for 1/3 of the cost but yall aren’t ready for that conversation

I’m not even going to begin to tell yall how I ended up in Millvale today. But my hectic 24 hours have brought me here- and I’m happy about it

I picked about 3 places to check out here in the area for Lent, knowing spots would be packed- and after having a large man barrel into me by the door at E town bar, I had to skedaddle

Had a great meal at Grant Bar. They have no Instagram so don’t bother searching. Come see for yourself. I had the fish & chips and their cocktail & tartar sauce were so insanely good I had to ask if it was made in-house. It was- a girl who has eaten the burgh could tell. They add tons of chopped pickles into their tartar sauce and it goes crazy 🔥 their cocktail shrimp was also HUGE and so good

This place has been around since the Great Depression which was crazy to find out. It’s awesome seeing a local Pittsburgh spot going strong and thriving. Anyway, yinz should come on dahn during lent season

If you’ve been to 🐓 you would know they have some of the best chicken sandwiches in all of Pgh

I loved the Plain Jane because I’m obsessed with pickles, Shane got the Nashville Hot, and our friend Vince got the KBBQ which was absolutely fire

They also have a bunch of sides like waffle fries, mac salad, & potato salad

People who know me well also know that the crowds and seating at the Federal Galley overwhelm me immensely😅 I would suggest getting takeout here tbh because we’ve come on weekends and it’s so hard to find a spot to sit

Obsessed with everything from Mola but my favorite and go-to is the Chirashi. Nothing beats it. I could eat it every day and not get tired of it. Truly an amazing meal, even as takeout. The scallops & salmon are my favorite part & of course the rice 🍚

is one of our favorite neighborhood gems💎 it’s close to our house, and we love everything about it. Great food, tons of drink options, and wonderful people. It’s a true neighborhood pub with a sense of community. After just 1 visit, you will always recognize a familiar face, and someone will always chat with you

I love a ton of the menu and have eaten here a lot, but wanted to highlight some of my favorites

- French onion soup 🧅🥣
- Irish eggrolls- Made in-house, corned beef, sauerkraut & Swiss cheese tucked into eggroll served with 1000 island dressing. What’s not to love? I love any eggrolls, I don’t discriminate
- Nachos- I get these allll the time. Perfect for sharing, I like getting mine with their grilled chicken. So good!
- Fish Sandwich 🐟🥪 - if you partake in Lent or if you just have a hankering for a large fish sandwich- the Pub’s is great! Huge and so filling
- Reuben - can’t go wrong with this classic. I actually had my first ever reuben here! I was finally feeling brave one day and decided to finally try it. Really liked it!

Checked out 🇵🇷 this past Sunday for dinner with 💛

It was my first time having authentic Puerto Rican food and it was bomb!! I can’t wait to get it again. I had the Pernil (pork shoulder) with 3 sides! The portions here are big and I loved the sides!! The rice & peas were my favorite, I could have eaten a tub.

had the Birria Queso Tacos with extra cheese 🧀🌮 & an empanada, the tacos looked so good I might have to order them next time. Ashlyn’s been to Puerto Rico so this was not her first rodeo when it comes to the food!

Great meet-up brunch at The Lot at Edgewater🍳🥞
I loveeee the dinner menu at the Lot (will have to share photos & recommendations with yall) but this was my first brunch experience with them. I got the short rib hash & an iced coffee and both hit the spot!

Tomorrow I’m starting dry January so you’ll see more non alc drinks this month, maybe a mocktail here or there, and other fun bevs. I know we all love eating but it’s also important to take care of yourself 🫶🏼

For dinner tonight I had this bomb Mediterranean salad from Caliente Pizza it’s field greens, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onions, marinated artichokes, roasted red peppers, feta, and chicken. It’s gigantic so the rest of it is coming to work with me tomorrow. I think as good as pizza is, some pizza shops have great giant salads that are worth checking out or recreating at home

Another approved dive right in South Side of PGH. I finally checked out Nadine’s! A lot of our friends have been here and finally Shane and I got to go! Nadine's Bar

It was packed, open on New Years Day, food on paper plates, cheap, good spot! I got the country fried steak and it was okay, eggs were perfectly cooked, good bread, cup of tea, and a bloody mary- their bloody mary was actually great. The breakfast sandwiches looked good and everyone enjoyed their breakfast

Cheers to 2024! More good eats, new spots, new dive bars, and old & new friends 🍻

I tried food from a long time ago and it’s still one of my favorites to this day!

It’s in Delaware and was featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. My favorite thing about it is you can get half portions of the entrees if you can’t figure out what you want between 2 options, or if you just want to try 2 things! Their menu is huge. I got the half portion of the fried chicken & waffles and the half of the shrimp and grits. Huge portions. Great joint!
