Playtesting continues steadily. Rules shaping up nicely and plenty of bugs being worked out.
Most exciting are the new combat rules. We found that the older mechanics from earlier Chaos In series games were resulting in too many ties, stretching combats out over turn after turn.
The new system combines combat and damage into one Goal Roll. Not only does it speed up play but we're finding combats to be more exciting (and deadly!).

Leaving for vacation for one week and when I return, I'm going to start work on the new Kickstarter. This means I'll be able to finance the production molds for the existing miniatures and invest in publishing costs for the rulebooks and commission new sculpts.

And I don't want anyone to think of us as just "The Weird West" guys. I have two new genres in the earliest playtesting stages. I'll give you some updates on them as work progresses.

Embarrassed to see how long it's been since I posted but I honestly had no news to share.
As of today, CIA Games is back on track. The Core Rules are in their final rounds of playtesting and I'm going to launch a second Kickstarter to release the Weird Western miniatures you've already been seeing here.
The plan is to use the KS funds to finance the layout and printing of the rules, the first two supplements and some new minis.
What I want to be able to promise customers is a steady release schedule to follow the Kickstarter. Instead of merely financing the production costs of the minis and then saying things, like, "Oh, we have some projects in the pipeline" I want to have finished and near-finished products ready to follow for at least 18 months after the Kickstarter.
To that end, check back here periodically. As soon as I have the Kickstarter ready to launch I'll make sure to post regular reports.
And as the new projects are being finalized there'll be news about them as well.

So it's been awhile since I posted ANYTHING here but now I actually have some news. The Chaos In Action Core Rules are shaping up nicely and I'm going to be re-writing and editing Chaos in Cochise County to match up with them. In order to have lots of cool stuff already in production when I release the CIA Rules and CiCC, I'm working on a supplement titled Undeadwood.

Undeadwood features a zombie horde besieging the town of Deadwood. New Factions include US Cavalry and Infantry, Sioux Indians and the more sinister Ghost Dancers, Miners, Chinese Tong gangs and, of course, the citizens of Deadwood, both law-abiding and otherwise.
Started cleaning and primer coating zombies tonight. Photos when they're done.
