The motor and steel-wire used to move the Duquesne Incline up and down Mount Washington in Pittsburgh. This is one of two steel-wire cables that are each 900 feet long. The cables are 1 1/8 inches in diameter and can support 50 tons of perpendicular strain. 🖤💛💯
