Yoooo Happy New Year!! 2023 was LONG, but we made it through! As we leap into the new year with fresh energy and New Year's resolutions, I have decided to act on one of my resolutions. I'm excited to announce that I've taken the leap and am now working for myself full-time!

It's a huge decision, and honestly, I'm both nervous and excited at the same time. But you know what they say, "No guts, no glory!" 😭

As I embark on this new journey, I would love to have your support. After spending a considerable amount of time in the finance world, I have realized my true passion lies in helping artists grow and hone their craft. I wanted to share a playlist made by Sofar Sounds, a notable artist platform in the UK that has uplifted many artists we love: Moses Sumney, Yerba, and Lianne La Havas.

Shout out Virgil RG on the vocal production of this!

Today is a very special day for me. I’ve produced records with 91.3 WYEP ‘s Reimagination project for 4 years and today marks their 10th project release.

My experiences in being a Black woman in the world of music production and audio engineering are what make me want to create safe spaces for women, femmes and girls to do make the music they love, especially those in the diaspora. WYEP masterfully pairs me each year with a young female artist akin to my own stylings and this year was no different.

This year I got to work with an amazingly talented songwriter, artist, actor and dancer from Westinghouse Arts Academy , Aryana Kapree. From Day 1, she’s shown up willing to learn, create and explore. Her drive, work ethic and professionalism at just 16 years old, blew me away, and this is even before we talk about her pen and vocals. We had so much fun crafting this year. I gained a mentee and someone I intend to help lift up beyond the stars.

It is with great pride that we present our collaboration, “FLY”, Aryana Kapree’s debut song.
