Don’t forget about these hidden gems 👇🏼👀
1️⃣ I fell in love with Dinant, a charming town on the Meuse River, known for its citadel and Adolphe Sax Museum.
2️⃣ Another favorite is Leuven, a lively university town with a vibrant nightlife and historic center.

10 years ago I packed up my things and moved off to college in Florida from a small suburb outside of Pittsburgh. Since then, I’ve lived in 6 states and traveled to over 20 countries. It’s crazy how fast time has gone by and all the amazing memories I’ve made.
This song is being hailed as the anthem for daughters who live far away, and it resonates deeply. Whenever I travel the world or move to a new place, I am filled with gratitude for the privilege of growing up where I did and having supportive parents. Moving away doesn’t erase your connection to your first home; it simply means you have two homes forever. I adore my life traveling, but that doesn’t mean I don’t miss my original home or occasionally feel guilty for leaving. I am incredibly fortunate that my parents are not just family but also my friends who understand why this life is worth living.
Let me know in the comments if you can relate ✈️🚙🤍

While I wholeheartedly believe in the power of solo travel, it’s not for everyone. Here are some reasons why you might want to reconsider a solo trip:
✈️ Craving social connection: Solo travel can be incredibly isolating, let’s be real, I’ve definitely felt lonely at times. If you thrive on constant companionship and sharing experiences, being alone for extended periods might be challenging. Consider group tours or joining travel communities to ease into solo travel.
👷🏼♀️Heightened safety concerns: As a woman, safety concerns are VALID! While solo travel can be empowering, it’s essential to be realistic about potential risks. Thorough research, choosing safe destinations, and practicing good travel sense are crucial. Maybe consider starting with shorter solo trips closer to home to build confidence?
👀Discomfort with spontaneity: Solo travel requires flexibility and adaptability. Itinerary changes, missed connections, and unexpected situations are more likely. If you prefer a rigid schedule and dislike last-minute adjustments, solo travel might cause major stress.
🧭Difficulty navigating unfamiliar places: While solo travel allows for self-discovery, navigating new places, especially with language barriers, can be intimidating. If navigating unfamiliar environments makes you anxious, consider guided tours or traveling with a companion for your first solo trip.
😩Introversion & social anxiety: While introverts can enjoy solo travel, those with significant social anxiety might find it overwhelming. Consider starting with solo day trips with structured activities to gradually build comfort.
Remember, there’s no shame in deciding solo travel isn’t for you. You might want to try alternative travel styles like group tours, joining travel communities, or traveling with friends or family. and THAT’S OK! Find a travel style that works for you.

SAVE this for your first ever or next long haul flight 👀 you’ll thank me later!
Long-haul flights can be a grueling experience, I remember prepping for my flight from New York City to New Zealand, and being seriously worried about how I was going to survive. Luckily there was a short break in between in Los Angeles but I still had a 13 hour flight after already flying 6 hours. 🙃
However, with a little preparation, you can significantly enhance your comfort and overall journey. Let’s dive into some common things to avoid 👇🏼
🍔 Skip the heavy meal
Opt for lighter meal before your flight to avoid feeling bloated and uncomfortable during the journey.
💧 Hydration is key
Dehydration can exacerbate jet lag and discomfort. Drink plenty of water throughout your flight. I always carry some type of hydration stick or drink with me!
🍷 Limit alcohol consumption
Alcohol can dehydrate you, disrupt sleep patterns, and worsen jet lag symptoms. Some people swear by drinking a glass or two to help them sleep… but it just doesn’t work for me.
🚶♀️Limited movement
Walking around before boarding and during the flight makes all the difference. It can help your muscles and reduce the risk of blood clots! Also wear those compression socks!!
🎒Don’t overpack your personal item
Keep only the essentials in your personal item so they’re always easy to find and within reach. Let me know if you’d like to see what I always bring in my personal item for flights 🙂
Remember, a little planning can go a long way in making your long-haul flight more enjoyable. Tag a friend who needs these tips! ✈️

You know the feeling - you plan for epic mountain views, you book the activity or hike, and then... fog rolls in. Yep, that was me for the Banff Gondola! 😩🚠
Here’s the honest truth: sometimes, the travel plans don’t go as planned because of timing, weather, or outside circumstances out of your control.
But plot twist! The fog eventually cleared, revealing the views everyone raves about - snow-capped peaks stretching as far as the eye can see and the turquoise of Lake Minnewanka below. Which I was super thrilled about! So there’s always hope!
REVIEW: Is the Banff Gondola worth it? 100% 👇🏼
Here’s the scoop:
🏔️The Views: Once the fog cleared, the panorama was truly amazing between mountains, lakes, and trees. You can see for miles.
👀 The Experience: The gondola ride itself is smooth and scenic and honestly a bit scary, and there’s a viewing platform at the top with interpretive signs to help you identify landmarks. I think they have it all covered when it comes to experience.
💰The Price: The gondola ticket isn’t the cheapest, but if you factor in the incredible views and ease of access, it’s a worthwhile for wanting the quick adventure (especially on a clear day!). You can, however, choose to hike up instead and enjoy the views for free!
Have you conquered the Banff Gondola? 🙋🏼♀️
