From Guy’s Burger Joint (one of my favs!) to the italian center at Cucina del Capitano, the Mardi Gras’s dining options are endless. Don’t forget the endless amounts of ice cream too! 🍦

There is no shortage of shows, activities, games, and more to keep you busy! I love playing Bingo and Deal or No Deal, but also don’t miss the fun shows like Love and Marriage interviewing married couples (which was HILARIOUS).

Florence is so much more than its famous landmarks. While the northern side is packed with iconic sights, the true heart of the city beats in the Oltrarno. This is where Florence feels authentic, lived-in, and magical. I loved living in this slower, peaceful area of the city when I studied abroad in college.
⁉️ What makes it special:
When I cross the river, it feels like discovering another world. Artisan workshops, hidden gardens offer a peaceful escape, and the trattorias? Let’s just say, the tiny restaurants and warm welcomes feel incredible and add another layer to to the city itself.
🍝 And if you’re up for a little adventure, climb to Piazzale Michelangelo at sunset—you’ll get the most stunning view of the city. 🌅

For me, travel is more than checking landmarks off a list. It’s about stepping out of my comfort zone, slowing down, and connecting with the people in a new place.

And the atmosphere? PURE MAGIC! The energy of the student life mixed with the old-world charm created a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Plus, don’t even get me started on the food! Ghent has some delicious local chocolates, waffles, and frites! I am definitely going to be back.
