Get tips from experts to best cover the election at free Sept. 14 workshop

Covering elections in your community? Get powerful tools to do the best job possible at a free workshop for Arizona journalists.

Veteran political reporters and even those whose beats don’t usually involve elections will be active in covering the November election. Be prepared for the challenge of newsgathering in an age of misinformation and learn from among the best ways to do your best job possible, presented by

“Covering Elections in the Age of Misinformation” is 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, in the famous Concho Room of the historic Westward Ho hotel, 618 N. Central Ave., in downtown Phoenix. RSVP for it here. Again, it’s free, and nonpartisan, a service of two longtime Arizona media service organizations, the Valley of the Sun professional and Arizona State University campus chapters of the Society of Professional Journalists and the First Amendment Coalition of Arizona.
