Hard Rock Germantown veterans Clutch and soulful hard rock outfit RIVAL SONS brought their “Two-Headed Beast Tour” to the Marquee Theatre last week, accompanied by Kentucky quartet Black Stone Cherry. With some of the best, familiar sounds of 90s rock, it was the perfect night to engage in a guilty pleasure: dad rock.

Take JNCO jeans, cheerleader outfits, cat ears, kimonos, Renaissance Faire gear, Hatsune Miku wigs and a Sonic onesie. Throw in some beats that are physically impossible NOT to dance to, and lyrics that are a perfect middle ground of euphoric nostalgia and an existential gut punch, and you've got a Porter Robinson show. And Arizona couldn't seem to decide if they loved it or hated it.

What everyone did love, though, was his giant inflatable cat, Paws.

You know how you look at certain artists, and regardless of if you like their music or not, you understand that their performances are going to be insanely entertaining and have amazing production value? If Pitbull was not one of those artists for you, he needs to be.

From multiple suit changes for Mr. Worldwide, to multiple outfit changes for the dancers, T-Pain also had an outfit change during his appearance for their song “Hey Baby,” coming out in a yellow suit to compliment PITBULL’s red suit, calling themselves the "musical Deadpool and Wolverine."

Trish Toledo (TrishKilla) made her first 2024 Phoenix appearance on her current round of shows around the U.S. on Thursday, July 25 at The Marquee Theatre in Tempe. With Arizona talent in tow for Arizonans in the likes of Sareena Dominguez Music and Earth Surface People, it was a smooth and groovin’ night.

When it came to the main event, Toledo did not disappoint and the crowd made sure to let everyone within five blocks know that a great show was about to take place. With the concertgoers giving the mic'd up band on stage a marathon run for their money, the oldie style hits started flowing throughout the venue. With extended vibrato sequences and vocal flourishes, Trish made sure to spice up each song with a live flair.

On their tour for their new album "Submarine," The Marías stopped by Phoenix, Arizona at the Arizona Financial Theatre on July 20, 2024. From giving you “Paranoia" and making you “Run Your Mouth,” this show was sure to leave you “Over The Moon.”

With their mix of English songs like “Echo" to their Spanish bangers like “Lejos De Ti,” The Marias are a growing musical force in the entertainment industry with plenty of room to bloom. The visuals on this tour brought the soon to be iconic pose of MARIA ZARDOYA backlit behind the portal, to a literal jump session to get the crowd into the right energy for the night, to outfit changes, one due to a very good reason revealed later on.

The Renaissance Hotel in Glendale was taken over by a party of monstrous proportions earlier this month, a Mad Monster party to be exact! Hosting an impressive amount of beloved celebrities from horror movies past such as Matthew Lillard (“Scooby Doo”, Scream Movies, Five Nights at Freddy's Movie), Kane Hodder ("Friday the 13th"), Juliette Lewis ("From Dusk Till Dawn”, "Natural Born Killers"), as well as some that have crossover into the Music world like Nivek Ogre ("Repo! The Genetic Opera”, Skinny Puppy), Sid Wilson (Slipknot, DJ Starscream), and even absolute legendary Ozzy Osbourne (Black Sabbath), among many, many more.

Vendors had everything, from custom designed clothing, stickers, posters and pins to high quality replicas of Audrey II, beautiful replica and custom designed Lightsabers and even some independently made horror parody films. If you imagine something vaguely horror related, you could probably purchase it on the vendor floor.

While the convention itself was a hit, unfortunately for those in attendance, it seems that the Renaissance Glendale was not prioritizing the safety and comfort of their attendees over their bottom lines.

Today is every stoner’s second favorite holiday, and to celebrate, the team at 22Red, Gelato Canna Co and Muha Meds invited us to review some of their concentrate products. July 10th, or 710, is becoming more popular each year with the rise of more concentrate innovations and more brands developing their own “all-in-one” devices.

Why #710? Well, when you flip the number upside down, it (roughly) spells out “oil,” from which concentrates are created. Stoners are nothing if not creative.

For this review, we tested the sativa strains “Mimosa” and “Pink Lemonade,” and the hybrid strain “Tire Fire.” Time to get lit.
