Today for , let’s shine a light on another fascinating bat—the Pallid bat (Antrozous pallidus)! This unique creature has a special knack for hunting insects right from the ground, feasting on critters like scorpions and centipedes. But that’s not all! Pallid bats emit a distinct “skunky” smell from their nostrils, which serves as a clever defense mechanism against predators. Although they are social creatures, they often prefer to hibernate alone or in small groups, making them quite an intriguing species. With their large ears and wide mouths, these bats always seem to be smiling!
