Celebrating Independence Day Safely and Spectacularly
By Drew Hutchinson, MVNA President
As we gear up for another joyous Independence Day, it’s time to celebrate our nation's birthday with enthusiasm and pride. I am thrilled to announce that, once again, the Moon Valley Neighborhood Association (MVNA) is bringing fireworks to our neighborhood on July 3rd, lighting up our skies and hearts in a tradition that symbolizes unity and patriotism. Thanks to the
Moon Valley Country Club and Jackie Briggs - Locality Homes for their partnership on this event.
The Importance of Independence Day
Independence Day is a time to honor the values of freedom, independence, and unity that our forefathers fought for. It's a day to reflect on our history, appreciate our liberties, and celebrate
the enduring spirit of our nation. The Moon Valley Fireworks Show on July 3rd is our community’s way of paying tribute to these ideals, reminding us of the sacrifices made by generations past to secure the freedoms we enjoy today.
The July 3rd Moon Valley’s Fireworks
Thanks to the unwavering support of the Moon Valley Country Club, Locality Homes, and the MVNA, our annual fireworks display will once again dazzle residents of all ages. This event has become a staple in our community, bringing together neighbors to celebrate, connect, and create lasting memories.
The fireworks show is not just about the spectacular display but also about the sense of belonging it fosters. It strengthens our community bonds and provides a platform for us to come
together, share in the celebration, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Events like these remind us that we are part of something greater, forging connections that enhance our community spirit. The show should start around 8:45 pm.
Safety First
While we look forward to a night filled with excitement, it’s important to prioritize safety to ensure everyone has a fun and incident-free celebration. Here are some safety tips to keep in mind:
+Fireworks Safety: Leave the fireworks to the professionals. Attend the community show instead of lighting fireworks at home. If you must use fireworks, ensure they are legal in our area and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
+Grill Safety: If you’re hosting a BBQ, keep grills away from flammable materials, never leave them unattended, and ensure the grill is completely extinguished after use.
+Hydration and Sun Protection: Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, especially if you’re spending time outdoors. Wear sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun.
+Pet Safety: Fireworks can be frightening for pets. Keep them indoors during the fireworks display to prevent them from getting scared and running away.
Join Us for the Celebration
We invite you all to join us on July 3rd for the Moon Valley Fireworks Show. Invite friends and family to Moon Valley, and enjoy an evening of festivities that culminate in a breathtaking display
of fireworks. This event is a testament to the strength and unity of our community, and we are excited to celebrate with you all.
