Rim Country Artists, Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce & True West Magazine presents the Inaugural Rim Country Western Film Festival!

Tickets cover:
• The 6 classic Clint Eastwood films listed below, each with a short introduction.

• A delicious luncheon will be served at the Rim Country BBQ and Wood Fired Pizza at 202 W Main Street at 11:15 am on Saturday.
There will be talks by the highly qualified & entertaining speakers Bob Boze Bell, publisher of True West Magazine, and Dr. Stuart Rosebrook, director of the Phippen Museum.

Marshall Trimble, the Arizona State Historian, will be participating, too!

At the BBQ, you’ll also be able to partake in an awesome raffle & silent auction.

• At 1:30 pm., “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” will play just across the street at the Sawmill Theater.

• At 6:00 pm there will be a book signing at the very popular gathering place, Noley's Art Gallery & Bookstore (103 AZ-260) – a 6,000 square foot art gallery & book store (that also serves local brews, wine and food).

• On Sunday from noon to 1:30 pm the Territorial Troupers, a fun local group will be entertaining folks at Macky's Grill, right next to the Sawmill Crossing and Theatres.

This is followed by the 2:00 film.

AZ filmmaker discounts available for upcoming August 2-4!!

The Flagstaff International Film Festival is hosting a virtual acting class via Zoom on August 2, led by award-winning actress Sonal Shah known for her roles in “Scrubs,” “New Girl,” and “Four Samosas.” This interactive class will explore scene study, audition techniques, and infusing personal essence into performances.

FIFF kicks off with an in-person screening of the documentary “First We Bombed New Mexico” at Theatrikos on August 3. This story reveals the impact of Oppenheimer’s Trinity Test on generations of southern New Mexicans affected by cancer. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Emmy and Peabody award-winning filmmaker Lois Lipman.

Continuing on August 3-4 at the Orpheum Theater, FIFF invites filmmakers and enthusiasts to downtown Flagstaff for two days of film screenings.

APA Annual Membership Meeting
January 31, 6-9 PM

This year’s annual meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 31, at Arizona Studios, 4614 E. McDowell Road in Phoenix. Doors open at 6:00 pm for dinner, and the meeting begins at 7:00 pm.

PARKING is available in the lot on the other side of the building just EAST of the Studios, by the pawn shop.

In addition to hearing from APA leaders on what they’re working on this year, other speakers include Randy Murray, President of the AFDMC (Arizona Film & Digital Media Coalition); Peter Catalanotte from Film Tucson; Phil Bradstock from the Phoenix Film Office and Matthew Earl Jones, Director of the Arizona Office of Film and Digital Media. Topics include what’s happening with their organizations, the tax rebate program, and filming around our state.

Speakers will participate in a Q&A with attendees following the presentations, with any remaining time devoted to networking.

The meeting is FREE for APA Members, but registration is required, as space is limited (and we need to know how much food to order)! If you are a current Member of APA, please register for your FREE TICKET 👉 https://shorturl.at/wIJU7.

Tickets for NON-APA members are $25 in advance; $30 at the door (cash only at the door).
