When you’ve been married for nine years, you think you’ve heard it all, until your husband asks you to consider being a surrogate for his brother and sister-in-law. Well, that's what happened to me.

It took a while for me to warm up to the idea. The couple had tried everything, and they were desperate, their heartbreak so tangible I could almost feel it in the room with us. They offered to cover the surrogacy expenses and even pitched in an amount that could pay for our daughter’s tuition. After a lot of thought, I agreed, telling myself it was the right thing to do.

Months passed, and despite the toll the pregnancy took, I felt good about helping them. I’d carried their baby, imagining the joy this child would bring to their lives.

Finally, the baby arrived. But when I handed her to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, there was a pause. A long, heavy silence that felt like the earth had stopped spinning.

My grandpa recently passed away, and his lawyer called me.

He announced that all his money (millions of dollars) would be evenly divided among my three siblings. Then he turned to me and said, "Your grandfather loved you the most. That's why you'll get his apiary."
And that was it! It stung... but I was ready to accept it because I loved and respected him. However, when I got there, it didn't seem like anything special.

I (57F) lost my husband of 25 years last year. He had a daughter, Susan (34F).

My marriage with Mike was done way before we signed any papers. He'd been more into his flashy image than into us for ages. Big cars, big house — if it screamed "Look at me," he wanted it. So when he finally told me he wanted a divorce, I wasn't shocked. What got me, though, was how quick he was to grab everything. "I want the house, the car, the savings," he said, all smug. He even tossed me the crumbs — my personal stuff, as if that was some generous offer.

I just smiled and nodded. I let him take it all because I knew what was coming. My lawyer looked at me like I was crazy, but I told her to let him have it. We signed the divorce papers, and I moved out that afternoon. I was eager to start my new life, but not before making one final call. Everything was set.

Two nights ago, I went to bed early because I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant, about to pop any day now.

My husband wanted to hang out with his friends in the living room. I wasn't super happy about it, but I agreed when he said he doesn't have much time before the baby arrives and wants to have some fun with his friends. So, I went to sleep.

I had been sleeping for a while when my husband woke me up in the middle of the night. His reason made me FILE FOR DIVORCE the next morning because he ⬇️

I CAME HOME WITH MY NEWBORN TWINS TO FIND THE LOCKS CHANGED AND A NOTE.

I had just been discharged from the hospital after giving birth to my twin girls, Ella and Sophie. My husband, Derek, was supposed to pick us up, But at the last minute, he called.

"Mom's really unwell. I need to take her to the hospital. I can't pick you up,” he said, sounding rushed.

Disappointed but trying to stay calm, I called a taxi.

When I got home, I froze. My suitcases and bags were dumped on the doorstep. I approached the door, calling, "Derek?" but there was no answer.

I tried my key—it didn't work. The locks had been changed. My stomach dropped. That’s when I saw the NOTE taped to one of the bags. ⬇️

My grandmother passed away, and all she left me in her will was an old sofa. My father was very angry, saying, "She took all her wealth to the grave! You're her only grandchild!" But I respected her will.

Grandma often read me fairy tales on this sofa, and I listened, fascinated, with a cup of tea. I loved spending time with her, and she understood me like no one else...

MY SON ACCIDENTALLY SAW MY WILL AND ORDERED ME TO PACK MY STUFF IMMEDIATELY

Still can't believe this even happened. I was waiting for a message from my lawyer when, instead, my son called me:

Him: "Mother! I have two things to tell you. First of all, Sam Kelson sent me your new will by mistake. Now I want you to pack your bags immediately."
Me: "Gerald... Are you upset about the will? Please, let me explain..."
Him: "I don't need your explanations, Mother. I need you to have your bags packed and be ready to leave by 4:00."

After Gerald hung up, I sat there with my heart pounding. I thought he would understand. He was the one who had always stood by me, helped me, and taken me home to live with him.

I stared at my suitcase through my tears.

At 4:00, there he was, punctual as ever. I tried to explain, but he wouldn't listen! He took my bags, put them in his trunk, and we drove off — I didn't even know where! But when we finally arrived, I looked at him in disbelief.
