Today is National BAGEL Day!!! If you didn’t know, I come from a long line of bakers and my family owned a bakery in Phoenix for over 30 years called, Karsh’s Bakery. After the business closed and I wasn’t able to get the bagels my parents made anymore, I had to start baking my own. Today, my homemade bagels are finally up to my high-quality standards and baking on the weekend has become a favorite pastime. Happy National Bagel Day!

Flashback to a simpler time… A young Larry McFeelie on the “Wallace and Ladmo” Show receiving a “Ladmo Bag”. “Larry’s Lunch Sack” later became my homage to the Ladmo Bag. Almost 30 years later I’m still giving away Larry’s Lunch Sack and have fond memories of growing up in Arizona and watching the iconic kids’ television show, The Wallace and Ladmo Show. While growing up in the 80’s, one of my favorite NES games was “Wizards & Warriors”. It was such a great game because even though it had levels that were annoyingly difficult, it also had a lot of areas that were simple. Of course, it never hurt that you were allowed to continue as many times as you needed. Sometimes the ‘low health’ music would make me crazy, but I realized while replaying this game that I enjoyed every bit of the nostalgia.
