¡Feliz Noche Buena! Hoping all of y’all are spending the holidays in the way that you want and need. Whether it’s quietly on your own, with your small or big families, your chosen families, pets, or partners, I hope you are enjoying and finishing this year peacefully. I’m grateful for all of you sticking with me and giving Contigo another holiday season making some cool stuff. (Especially over the past few months, yall have been wonderful, patient, understanding, and kind, more on that in another mushy post later) Happy holidays yall!

Hey everyone, let me start by saying thank you for all the support you all have given me over the past few days.
As some of you know last saturday I was robbed while working one gig and on my way to the next, 2 bags of my equipment were stolen out of my locked trunk and then I was robbed a second time by the same people when I pursued the air tag, where my windows were smashed.
I am physically unharmed.
At that point they took the rest of what I had left along with my personal items like my wallet, medications, and my late abuela’s pendant which is irreplaceable.
Due to some concerns around my current safety, I’m not sharing further details at this time.
Let me add that I was not the only person burglarized that day, that event, or those locations. I am currently working with Philly PD which has been frustrating to say the least. I’m currently spending my time advocating for faster action and being a squeaky wheel, which has been extremely exhausting.
As you can imagine how devastating of a loss this was for me as I have spent the past 10 years building my kit (not easily). While I have insurance, due to the nature of how I was robbed, this will take time causing me to lose more work than I already have lost and they also will not cover the full loss.
Thanks to luck, kindness, and old gear I do still have enough equipment to keep working and if anything I need to work more than ever to recover.
Beyond the financial devastation, this has taken a huge emotional toll on me. I was already coming off a couple very challenging months professionally and this was the icing on the cake.
I am grateful to the photo and video community that sprung into action to support me.
Im also extremely grateful to the friends who pushed me to share my venmo and also created a gofundme for me (link in bio), despite how deeply embarrassed I am by the whole situation.
In the almost 11 years of my career, yes I’ve experienced theft before but this is by far the most extreme I’ve experienced and nothing prepared me to be completely wiped out like this before.
I would greatly appreciate any support.

It’s been a while since y’all saw my face. So hi this is Steph with a throwback pic of the back of her head while photographing Brit and Paul’s wedding in Punta Cana in 2016.
While I take a limited amount of weddings now (well at least compared to 2016 😅), folks celebrating love are still something I enjoy photographing and filming. 🥰

Epic snow photo alert! In honor of impending snow and Sam’s birthday we’re throwing it way back to probably one of my favorite photo adventures of all time. Very few people would wait around with me for a peak Nor’Easter and be out in the snow in minimal clothing and still make it fun and help me execute such stunning and memorable photos like these. Sam has been one of my supporters from day 1 and was also there to make sure I looked beautiful for my wedding day on a much warmer day this past August.
