Dear Darla,

Thank you for being here for me. I wanted to give you an update on how things are going since the last time I reached out to you.

Recall, I am the woman who gave my bf of 3+ years various loans for his business. He has been earning passive income from my interest free, pay back at your own pace loans. I asked him for an allowance as my man. To get married, I wanted a $15k (let’s call it a) dowry. He refuses to give me either and seems to be against quote “going to work and giving all my money to a woman” end quote. Ultimately, he doesn’t have the financial mannerisms I want in my man or husband. I left.

I’ve spoken to friends, family & therapists and it seems that I should get a move on. Here lies my new issue 😭. Moving forward, I’ve been told to not tell men that I own companies, have a distinguished position, have degrees, etc. That is an issue bc I have an ambitious, motivating and helpful personality.

Nonetheless, I’ve been telling guys that I am a work from home schedule coordinator, door dash and instacart driver, CNA. (No offense to anyone) Anyhow, a lot of the men have been losing interest as soon as I tell them.

Men: don’t y’all like y’all women needy and not too intelligent?

Ladies: have you found that guys want you to pay 1/2, 1/4 or even flat out refuse to do for you bc they know you have your own?
