“So Imagine”
You’re leaving a restaurant in Germany & the world’s most sultriest woman grabs you by the arm and slowly starts to sob….& you really don’t know what you did to be in this situation —was it the movie? She looks mid 20s maybe she a music head?, did an older brother pass away that put her on to the Roots?….I mean this is one of the more flummoxing things about the “all things to all people” path I chose in life. But whatever the case— right then and there I was a dude clearly not from the country standing in front of a crying woman in a public setting ——trying not to look triggered.
My perception of my celebrity is more like “dawg yall music changed my life”—-but this MJ level of girl crying in arms is new….and I been here 3 decades. Then....
She grabs my face….(think the end of “The Way You Make Me Feel” video) & whispers…..

That was the surrealist A24 level of a slow motion walk back to my hotel ever (cue piano loop in “Midnight Perfect World) I been “the drummer in black eye peas” and “the guy on Kimmel” but 1st generation Yo Gabba Gabba kids are pushing 30?!!?g
I once joked I live a life in which someone knows Jordan JUST for the Hanes commercials only—this isn’t a “woe is me” post btw….I own that I (was) the king of hiding in plain sight for decades & we live the reality we set for ourselves.
HOWEVER lol.
My number one love is the music I create in —that is the fuel to my fire & sometimes if you love something you must set it free. Then if it returns to you it’s real. That said I wanna thank for acknowledging something I thought noone saw or cared about. Feeling seen is a great feeling and I dont take it for granted.
