Let's see if I can get through this. Probably one of the hardest things I ever had to type. Last Friday night, I was a victim of targeting from 3 players. I did not know them, nor their team. Due to the substantial damage done to my left knee and the concussion received I have decided it was best for me and my mental health to retire from playing adult men's hockey. This is one of the hardest things I ever had to do, but with a history of serious concussions and serious mental health issues I knew that this is the best decision for me. I got to play in my final game (seen below) with the Ultimate Adult Hockey League and the Jersey Tropics Rusty team as we took on the Beavers where one of my closest friends in James Brennan was the man behind the pipes on the other side. My shootout rival Nate Mayers also was part of the game and many more. We lost the game, but the sportsmanship shown from everyone after was very touching- thanks guys.

I am looking forward to new adventures within the hockey community surrounding player safety and spreading continued awareness and to keep giving back to the hockey community as I love to do. Thank you to the U and the GAHL for having me be a part of your leagues. Thank you to all my teammates I have gotten to play with and teams. Thank you to The NoDekes who I will still work along with and the Tropics this season from behind the bench.

When I started playing at age 15 with the Father Judge Ice Hockey team, I never thought I was going to turn out to be a great player, having coaches like Eric Kurtz and the late great Mr. Bates Howie Bates showing me the way and doing everything they can by giving me the tools I needed- I was proven right. I still stink lol. But I always tried to be a good teammate and hopefully I made a positive impact somewhere. Sorry for the long post, this has just been very difficult for me mentally and I want to do what i feel will help me move forward.
