QUESTION FOR YOU TODAY: Do you believe God is calling you to ENCOURAGE someone this week❓

📖 Romans 8:31 says, "What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Devotion Focus: Encourage

Maybe someone you know is going through a battle today. Perhaps he opened up to you about his situation. You’ve seen the discouragement in his eyes. You see the issue. And maybe God wants to use you to speak life. What if the Lord wants you to encourage him to fight? Nehemiah answered the call to ENCOURAGE others while the enemy spoke fear-infused words. What if God is calling you?

This week, you can be an extension of God’s heart to someone who is facing a battle. Could you lay aside all doubt, fear, and anxiety so that you could allow the Holy Spirit to flow through you?

Maybe you wouldn’t know all the words to say, but God does. As His child, you hear Him. He speaks in ways you can grow to recognize. So, will you make yourself available to God’s will so that you can ENCOURAGE your brother or sister to fight with the Lord’s help?

QUESTION FOR YOU TODAY: Do you ever need help to REMEMBER God in the turmoil of a battle❓

📖 Romans 8:31 says, "What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Devotion Focus: REMEMBER

Sometimes in the midst of a battle, you become blinded by the fight and lose sight of God. Have you been there? Maybe you didn’t start there, but in the middle of the chaos and the cries for help, you landed on Forgetful Avenue. In that place, you felt alone. The battle became fierce and you didn’t seem heard. But in moments like that, REMEMBER God, your God. He is all powerful. He is all knowing. He has already seen the end of the battle.

As you REMEMBER the Lord, fight with Him. Fight with His strategies as you seek Him for a plan. Fight with His courage when your courage flickers. Fight with His energy when your energy wanes.

REMEMBER, God is with you. REMEMBER, He is on your side. REMEMBER, if He is for you, who can be against you? This battle won’t last forever. Victory lies at the end. REMEMBER that as you continue onward today.

📖 Then as I looked over the situation, I called together the nobles and the rest of the people and said to them, ‘Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!’" Nehemiah 4:14

Devotion Focus: Voice of the Holy Spirit

Have you noticed voices 🗣️around you? Some are negative; others are positive. If the negative voices outweigh the positive ones, it may be challenging to overcome. Yet, what if you could distinguish which voice is most significant? God’s discernment and wisdom could aid your everyday life. His encouragement could empower you. So, could it be that the Holy Spirit is your encouraging voice 🗣️while fear attempts to pierce through your soul?

If the Holy Spirit is your encouragement while negative voices swirl around you, GOD CAN empower you to fight. While the enemy searches for gaps to slither through, the Lord is your strength. He gives you strategy for the battle. Though toxic voices may not silence immediately, the Holy Spirit encourages you to be unafraid and fight. And you don’t fight alone; you fight with Him. So, be empowered by the Holy Spirit today to fight for who and what God has given you.

Devotion Focus: Treasure Within

What are you building for the Lord’s glory? Maybe you’re in the idea 💡 stage. Or maybe you are waiting on an idea inspired by the Holy Spirit. Perhaps you’re in a planning phase. Or, possibly you are building something God placed in your heart ❤️ . No matter what stage you are in, ANYTIME YOU PURPOSE to advance God’s Kingdom, the ENEMY WILL ATTEMPT to come after you and your household.

Whether the enemy whispers in your ear or aims to derail your spouse or your child, he won’t sit silently by because THERE IS TREASURE IN YOU. A thief doesn’t break into a place to steal items of low worth, but if he breaks in, he pursues the valuables. DO NOT lose hope. Instead, FIGHT.

Though you cannot fight with physical weapons, you can FIGHT USING the WORD of GOD, prayer, the blood 🩸 of Jesus, praise and more. Stand guard and use your weapons!

Devotion Focus: YOU are called by His Name

The Lord is calling ☎️ YOU because YOU ARE CALLED BY HIS NAME. He has the blueprint to bring healing ❤️‍🩹 in an YOUR city, state and country. God’s plan has several STEPS and involves HUMILITY, PRAYER 🙏 , a SEARCH for Him, and a TURN from evil ways. After His people journey through the process with Him, the Lord will HEAR our prayers, FORGIVE the sins and HEAL the city, state and country. What a promise❗️

But remember, sometimes when YOU think YOU are waiting on God, the Lord is waiting on YOU. Maybe He wants to do something unimaginable in YOUR FAMILY or finances. Maybe God wants to do something in YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, but it begins with YOU because YOU ARE CALLED BY HIS NAME. Let Him live through YOU and accomplish His will in YOUR city, state and country.

Devotion Focus: Turn

It’s another day in your walk with Jesus, and God has a plan. For every challenge, He prepared a solution. This week, we’ve pointed out God’s plan for His people. This is no ordinary plan; it’s a perfect one which brings healing to whole cities and counties and nations. We have been reminded to start with humility, then move into prayer and searching for the Lord. But, that’s not all. God has more He wants His people to know and do.

Another part of God’s plan during times of destruction and dilapidation requires turning from evil ways. Sometimes being in the world sways the Lord’s people to become like the world. When that happens, God calls His children to turn from evil. If anyone turns from evil, he turns toward God. He makes himself open to the Lord’s plan. So, today, consider if Jesus is beckoning you to turn from evil ways.

Devotion Focus: Pray

Yesterday, we focused on humility as step one in God’s plan for His people during turbulent times. And humility isn’t thinking less of yourself; it’s thinking of yourself less. As you consider what the Lord wants to do through you and make yourself available to Him, you invite God to have His way. You may feel resistant at first, but as you continue in the Lord, your heart ❤️ can grow more open to His will being done in you.

In addition to humility, add PRAYER. Part of God’s plan involves PRAYER arising from the people He called by His name. PRAYER is communication with the Lord. You speak. And God speaks too. Because you belong to Jesus, you hear Him. So, talk 🗣️to your Father. Spend time in His presence. Cry 🗣️out for mercy. Cry 🗣️out for grace. Cry out for instruction. Wherever you are, there He is. So, in humility, PRAY to your Father.

Devotion Focus: God Knows

This week, we’ve gone deep sea fishing 🎣 in the ocean 🌊 of God’s kindness. Every day people need the kindness that the Lord placed in you. Undoubtedly, you are a gold mine if you have welcomed the most valuable one on the inside of you. The Holy Spirit has watched generation after generation and He knows the mind of our Father, God.

He knows the kindness your co-worker needs. He knows how to be kind to the cashier at your local grocery store. The Holy Spirit knows the kindness your son, daughter or spouse needs today. Not only does He have the knowledge, but He also has the ability to reveal that knowledge.

Consider this: God fills the hungry. If you are hungry to know how to be kind to those you encounter, ask the Lord. And if His reply takes longer than you expected, wait anyway. Trust that God will answer you. After all, He desires you to be kind.

Father God, I worship 🧎‍♀️‍➡️and adore 🙌🏽you. I take this time to recommit my day and life to your will. You said in Matthew 6:9-10 to go before you in worship and adoration then pray Your will before we petition You for our needs. I confess with my mouth 🗣️, according to your Word, the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart ❤️ that God raised Jesus from the dead therefore I am saved (Romans 10:9). I believe that In Jesus name!

I DECLARE:

You will teach me and reveal your path to me—and you will remain by my side as my caregiver through every situation today (Isaiah 32:8).

My spiritual eyes 👀 are opened today, and I have His wisdom in every situation.
Today, I hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and his voice flows through my actions, thoughts, prayers and words. Your word DECLARES:

1. 1 John 1:7 The blood 🩸 of Jesus has cleansed me from all my sins in Jesus name.
2. Romans 3:25 Through the Blood 🩸 of Jesus I have been forgiven of my past sins in Jesus name.
3. Romans 5:9 Through the Blood 🩸 of Jesus I am justified and saved.
4. Ephesians 1:7 Through the Blood 🩸 of Jesus I have been forgiven of my sins according to the riches of His grace.
5. Psalms 27:2-3 I reverse every satanic judgment against destiny this season by the power in the Blood 🩸 of Jesus.
6. According to Hebrews 12:24, I saturate my family, my (future) spouse, our (future) children, my workplace, my businesses and every facet of my life with the Blood 🩸 of Jesus.
7. Psalm 118:17 says I shall live and not die in Jesus name.
8. Anything buried in the ground, against my future, I nullify its powers through the Blood 🩸 of Jesus.

Any meetings against me this season for evil, I destroy and cancel its powers by the Blood 🩸 of Jesus.

I paralyze and cut off the head of my Goliath with the Blood 🩸 of Jesus.
I confess AND forsake my sins and your Word declares you are faithful and just to forgive my sins, have mercy on me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness (Proverbs 28:13; 1 John 1:9), wash me white as snow ❄️ (Psalms 51:7), and throw my sins into the sea 🌊 of forgetfulness (Micah 7:19). Father God, I ask that you forgive me for my sins, known and unknown.

Father God, your Word also DECLARES, according to Romans 4:17, to call those things that are not as though they were.

I loose healing, love 💜 , joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, sound mind, happiness and prosperity in my life. I DECLARE a hedge around my Family and I (Matthew 18:18-19, Galatians 5:22-23; Job 1:10

I will think AND talk positive because I wrestle not against people, I will pray 🙏more (for my enemies, coworkers, friends, associates, and nation) & talk less because I know death and life are in the power of my tongue; I want the meditations of my heart to be acceptable in His sight instead of being ensnared by my tongue (Ephesians 6:12, James 1:19, Psalms 19:14, Proverbs 6:2 & 18:21, Philippians 4:6); Your favor surrounds me like a shield 🛡️ and whatsoever I do prospers because I choose to walk the narrow/straight path i.e. God's path (Psalms 1:3 & 5:12, Matthew 7:13); I cast all my cares on You.

Psalms 75:6-7 says look to the Lord because promotion ultimately and decisively comes from Him. I look to You.

I put on the full armor of God which includes waist of TRUTH, breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS, feet 👣 set with the gospel of PEACE, shield 🛡️ of FAITH, helmet of SALVATION and
the sword of the SPIRIT which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14-18).

QUESTION FOR YOU TODAY: Have you recognized God-given desires to be kind❓

📖 Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you." Ephesians 4:32

Devotion Focus: DECISIONS

Perhaps you know what it’s like to decide what you want to wear, watch, eat, hear or where you want to go. Every day, you make DECISIONS. Some DECISIONS lead to negative consequences and others lead to positive ones. However, when the Holy Spirit lives in you, He helps you make DECISIONS wisely. Remember, “…God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him,” (Phil. 2:13, NLT). So, you are never alone in your decision-making process.

Consider this: Because God desires you to be kind, will He not help you? The Lord has given you everything you need to make Godly DECISIONS today. His Spirit speaks to you. As a child of God, you hear Him.

Children recognize the voice of their father, especially those who have had a present father. God is a father who is present. He is your ever-present help. So, today, keep your ears open to the voice of God. Let Him lead you to be kind.

Devotion Focus: Helpful

A kind person is a helpful person. Do you remember the last individual who helped you❓In order to help, maybe it wasn’t convenient. Perhaps he had not slept well the night before. Or maybe she was swamped with various tasks on her to-do list. Yet, despite emotions and responsibilities, someone turned aside to help you.

Those kinds of people are signposts which read, “Be kind.” They remind you of God’s kindness. They remind you to help others. What if it were said of you that you make places better? What if it were said that you see needs and fill them? You would know if it weren’t for the grace of God, you couldn’t do it. Because of Him, you would have had a desire to be kind. So, why not consider the place where God set you and ask Him, “How can I help?”

Devotion Focus: Empowered by God

Have you ever had a day that didn’t begin well? Perhaps stress opened its mouth and began its train of pressure. Or maybe you stubbed your toe on a displaced toy. Complaints played in your mind. They rolled in one after the other. In moments like those, oftentimes you don’t want to be kind. You don’t want to smile. You don’t want anyone to say a word.

However, even in frustrating times, you can practice kindness. Though you may stumble often at first, by God’s grace, you can grow stronger in the character of Jesus. God’s kindness isn’t based on convenience. Instead, He is considerate and compassionate.

David chose to be kind to King Saul, although the king wanted to kill him. By the grace of God, you can be kind to your enemies too. When it’s hard, choose kindness anyway. Though you cannot do it in your strength, ask the Lord for His. Undoubtedly, He’s willing to empower you to be kind.
