17 years ago today, John and Jennifer Garrett launched the first edition of Community Impact Newspaper from the game room of their home in Round Rock. Today, CI is the largest community news organization in Texas, delivering monthly newspapers to more than 2.4 million mailboxes and providing daily news online.

Thank you to all of our readers, advertisers and patrons for supporting us through the years—we couldn't have done it without you.

Our next chapter in Houston is underway! Check out this video for a birds-eye-view of our new regional headquarters under construction off Hwy. 290 and Beltway 8 in Jersey Village. Once complete, more than 60 Impacters will work at our new location.
