Summer days are sneaking up on us....
We have so much to catch up on! Let’s start with the exciting news since the earliest snow piles began to melt and sunshine broke through in Northern Michigan:
The Purple Tree Books and Coffee in Cheboygan is now carrying Walloon Writers Review! We are so excited to welcome this delightful independent book store to our list of great bookstores you really have to visit and while there, be sure to pick up a copy of Walloon Writers Review. Purple Tree Books and Coffee is right downtown Cheboygan and has an amazing Michigan section just as you come in the door. The coffee and the welcome were terrific and there’s a great selection of books, gifts, muffins :) and journals.
Never quite able to leave a store without at least one book, I picked up a book about shipping on the great lakes. I’ll be ready on a warm beach-chair-day to pour through that! Visit Purple Tree as you explore the mighty northern Michigan this summer. I also took a few pictures along the Lake Huron shoreline which I posted last month.
