Northern Territory Imaging is a Native-owned and operated photography company based in Michigan, founded by Philip Hutchinson, a Crane Clan Ojibwe from the Bay Mills Indian Community. Philip’s photography career spans over 15 years, including seven years working under an art director in the publishing world. During this time, he served as the main photographer for dozens of magazines annually, gaining a deep understanding of the importance of deadlines, high-quality imagery, and creative collaboration. This experience shaped his ability to deliver powerful visual narratives with precision and professionalism.
For the past eight years, Philip has focused on growing Northern Territory Imaging, a business dedicated to capturing the beauty of landscapes, culture, events, and adventure sports. The company is deeply committed to promoting Indigenous communities and regional tourism, blending Philip’s connection to his heritage with his professional expertise to tell culturally rich, authentic stories through photography.
Northern Territory Snow Berg Division is an extension of this vision, focusing on the marketing of snowboard, ski, and adventure sports. Led by a talented team including Taylor Jepsen, Al King, and Kenny “The Missile” Fortune, Snow Berg Edition specializes in high-energy, dynamic photography and marketing that captures the thrill of outdoor sports.
