Facing the Storms of Life

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1 (NIV)

When a storm approaches, most animals seek shelter, but bison do the opposite—they charge into it. By facing the storm directly, they pass through it more quickly, rather than prolonging the discomfort.
This behavior is a powerful metaphor for our spiritual journey. Life brings trials and struggles that we cannot avoid, and while we may want to run from them, God calls us to face them with faith. Like the bison, when we trust in God during our hardships, we move through them, knowing He is with us, offering strength and refuge.

Tauren Wells has had a lot going on this past year! He and his wife, Lorna, have started a new church in Austin, Texas. He is still making new music and touring all over. But, he also made time to quietly work on a book that he labored and prayed over.

Tauren says, “If you’ll give God your greatest dreams, He’ll hand you back a deeper purpose!” Tauren’s book will be out sometime in the next few months, and we cannot wait to read it!

The sequel to I Can Only Imagine is in the works!!! Who’s excited for the sequel???

In 2018, "I Can Only Imagine" was a surprise hit at the U.S. box office. It debuted at #3 and was up against blockbuster hits from Steven Spielberg as well as Marvel Studios.

The film that shared part of Bart’s life story — his relationship with his abusive father and their reconciliation, captured the hearts of audiences and continues to provide encouragement to millions around the globe.

We are so excited to share with you that a sequel will officially begin production in the next few months! "I Can Only Imagine 2" will continue the story of MercyMe Music's lead singer, Bart Millard.

Bart announced on his social media that the follow up film will tell about the story behind his song, “Even If.” That song came from a season of unanswered prayers over his son who has battled a chronic illness.
