Today was my last day working with the beautiful human being that is Kyreon Lee. I appreciate you more than you know. You taught me so much about the world of journalism, not just how to put on a cohesive show, but how to navigate in a market and company where there’s only a handful of people that look like us. I am eternally grateful for the time we’ve had together and I wish you nothing but the best up in Madison. I know you’ll light up the newsroom there just like you did here.

(P.S. if you thought that was sappy, wait till you see what I wrote in the card I’m gonna give you 😉)

It was an honor and pleasure producing for you this last year and a half. Best of luck wherever you go next, I know you’ll do great!

Onward and upward. 🥹🙏🏽 Central Illinois, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU! After three wonderful years at WMBD, my last day will be next Tuesday, June 25. I will be moving on to pursue a new opportunity as a morning anchor in another city. I’ll share more about where in the coming days! ✨

This decision wasn’t made lightly, but it truly is an amazing opportunity and advancement for myself and my family.

Thank you for embracing change and allowing me into your home since June 2021. It truly has been my pleasure to serve this community. I’m grateful for the supporters I’ve met out in the community and ones who have interacted consistently here on Facebook. To the small business owners, thank you for allowing me to share your stories. And to everyone that I have met along the way, you all are amazing! I have made so many genuine connections from the community to church and beyond.

This place will forever hold a special place in the heart of my husband and I. This has been home for three years! Our oldest daughter, Mahlani moved here when she was only nine months old and she is now 3.5 years old! We have watched her hit so many milestones and grow here. Same for our second daughter Harmoni. This is where she was born just last year. Peoria truly is where they got their roots.

I will miss working with the multi-talented WMBD team and especially my morning crew. Special thanks to my management team and general manager Shaun Newell who gave this small town Missouri girl a chance at living out her dream. It has played an integral role in my next stop!

We still have five morning shows together, so I hope you all continue to tune in with Sheridan Hurtig, Nathan Kitchens and I and follow me on my next journey. Again, thank you. 💗

Hello all! (Stay tuned to the end for big news)

You may recall that earlier this year I made a post about the WMBD Summer Concert Series. Well the summer is coming to an end and so is the concert series. Thank you all for reaching out and making this the best concert series in central Illinois.

If you reached out but didn’t get a response, don’t worry! While the Summer Concert Series may be ending, it became such a crowd pleaser that after taking some time off, we will re-brand and start anew on September 15 and this time we’ll keep it going all year!

With that being said, I’d love to get each one of you on the show! Here’s what you need to know:
-We’ll be highlighting local bands/artists
-We’re looking for ORIGINAL music
- You must be able to perform acoustically (we really want to highlight your vocals)
-and lastly you have to have an amazing personality and be ready for the tv screen!
