We went from “I just want to feed it enough to keep it alive” to
“I think I want a proofer” real quick.
Our garden has been doing so much better since we got the chickens out of it. Tomatoes, watermelon and cantaloupe are growing great now 🙌🏻
We need to look closer at our chicken containment for the sake of the rest of our garden but our peppers big producers this year.
Over the weekend we began transitioning our traditional tilled garden over to a Ruth Stout deep mulched style of garden. She describes using rotten hay or straw as the mulch but since we bag our whole yard when we mow we have an abundance of grass clippings. This should help cut down on the weeding, help keep moisture in the soil and act as a compost as it decays and goes back into the soil.
Step 1. Find ripe peppers. Step 2. Put ‘em in a bucket. Step 3. Enjoy 😊 First harvest was a success 🎉
It doesn’t take much to get out the door when you say there’s gonna be cows 🐄
Happy Independence Day y’all. I guess you could say tractors are in our blood, even if they are red. #1066
We had a blast at the local 4H parade last weekend. I cleaned candy all week where it didn’t quite make it out the window but everyone had a great time. Our lil man loved seeing the antique tractors and horses.
Our peppers, cucumber and cantaloupe plants are loving the rain we’ve recently gotten. Hopefully we’ll have some eggs by the end of the month as well 🐓
The last combines are coming out of the field, looking forward to some winter camping and exploring new places next year.
Did about 230mi of the KAT over 4 days last weekend. This was probably one of the most enjoyable of the trips we’ve made, there was a lot more trails than pavement this time. Oneida> Jellico> Middlesboro> Appalachia. There’s a ton we could have done in Pineville/ Middlesboro area we’ll need to make a second trip.
Back in December we added/upgraded our factory fog lights to a set of amber SS3s from Diode Dynamics and loved the result and the quality! We reached out to them about a partnership and are happy to now be able offer their line of quality lighting in our online shop. Their high standard in products is in line with our goal of offering top-notch overland and off road gear to our customers and followers! If you’re in the market for vehicle lighting, check out our shop and feel free to reach out with any questions you have!

We’ve been putting our KL Cherokee Trailhawk through some easy trails to see how well it performs stock. We’re excited to compare how much better it will handle trails with the upgrades we have on the way!
Got a chance to get out to Max Patch today and see the beautiful winter weather before it all melted!

Just like that, the weekend has come to an end 😩 how was everyone else’s weekend? We’d love to hear of your adventures!
After our first camp of the year a couple weeks ago we realized we needed to update our tent situation so we purchased a 4-season tent from Cabela’s! Last night, we tried it out for the first time and were quite impressed at how spacious, durable, and high-quality it was. We will be making our first real camping debut in the tent at our kickoff event!
Shout out to Wade Quante for coming out and helping get this trailer rolling. Got some odds and ends to tie up but hopefully the customer will be able to debut it this weekend 👍 Thanks brother!
We enjoy upgrades as much as the next person, but not every upgrade is suited for every situation, and sometimes an unconventional upgrade may be the most practical. Two weeks out of the year the taco gets a bumper upgrade to aid in recovery situations. While traditional winching or pulling may be effective, for those who just need a little push, the mattress is perfect. Additionally, it is more time effective and safer, as it distributes the force over a larger area. What's more, it's effective on vehicles that have limited recovery points.
Conventional winches can come in really handy when trail riding and off-roading, but what happens when you don’t have a winch and you find yourself in a tricky situation and you need one? In this video Daniel, one of the co-founders of Overland Objective, shows you how to use a Hi-Lift jack and a couple of chains to nudge you out of a tough spot! Hi-Lift Jack Company
