🌿 Before touching your skin always make sure that your hands are nice and clean. Remember our hands carry tons of germs and after waxing your skin is very vulnerable to infections. Although you may not think clean hands are important…IT’S IMPORTANT!!
So make sure your hands 🤲🏾 are CLEAN!!

Upon entering the suite it is required that all clients remove their shoes before being serviced. Also when filling out your intake form be sure to check or circle your spa robe size. Our sizes are (S, M, L, XL 2X).

Let’s not forget to exfoliate if it’s been 48-72 hours since your last wax appointment. Do not use any products if it has not been recommended by your Esthetician. Using incorrect products can cause your skin to become very irritated. Irritated skin is something that you want to avoid.

Here’s a Skin-Care tip: 🧖🏽♀️
If you are having breakouts during a new season, switch up your skincare routine or change your products. Your skin changes with the weather. During the summer you may be more oilier than normal and during the colder months your skin may tend to become dryer. Stick to one esthetician for your facials. Skincare hopping can cause you to have breakouts also. Different products used by different professionals is not recommended.

that waxing is mild form of exfoliation. During a wax not only is the hair removed from the root but it also removes dead skin cells Which is another reason why the skin feels so smooth and soft after receiving a wax.

🧚🏾 Make sure you ladies are exfoliating 2-3 times a week after your wax. Exfoliating the skin after waxing helps reduce the risk of developing ingrown hairs. By choosing to exfoliate your skin after waxing, you are reducing the risk of clogged pores and ingrown hairs & bumps. Do not exfoliate right after a wax. Wait at least 48 hours to begin your at home exfoliating.

Let’s talk (Brazilian Wax)
So, I get a lot of questions about how long should your hair be “Before getting a Brazilian Wax”
🧚🏾 The day of the appointment, your hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (the length of a grain of rice.) This will allow the wax to grip around the hair for a smoother waxing session and longer lasting results. If your hair is too long, you can lightly trim the area or you can ask a/or your specialist to help you.

~There are two things that I recommend after getting waxed here at Elegant Beauty is to EXFOLIATE & HYDRATE!
~ Exfoliating will slightly help brighten the skin, keep your pores from getting blocked by built up dead skin cells, sweat, natural oil and also product build up. It also aids in releasing trapped hairs beneath the skins surface. Once you’ve exfoliated, it is Important to hydrate the skin. Keeping the area moisturized can help reduce irritation and break outs.
