Richard - (Male, African-America, early 40s)
An ambitious Bank Manger with a desire to become the youngest VP in the Bank's History. Married to Patty and Father of Michael. His mother Deloris is a constant overbearing thorn to him and his wife.
Michael - (Male, Bi-Racial, 14 yr old teenager)
Is struggling to adapt at his new High School, where he feels constantly forced to defend himself and only his mother will believe him. His relationship with his father is very strained.
Deloris - (Female, African-American, 60s)
Richard’s mother and Michael’s grandmother. Very judgmental of Patty and how she is taking care of Richard and raising Michael.
Principal Smith - (Male, White, mid 40s)
Has a desire to prove that Michael doesn’t belong at his school and Patty and Richard shouldn’t be together.
Child Service Agent - (Male, White, 30s)
Is working with Principal Smith to get Michael removed from the school, and possibly from his parents custody.
