When you’re truly submitted to the will of God and consistently allow the Word of God to shape your thinking, your life may seem more narrow and constricted to those who desire more ‘fun and pleasure’.
This is because the path to life is narrow and very few find it. This path has fewer people and is even offensive to some. That’s why it’s the path less traveled.
However, along the way, you develop beautiful relationships, make a great impact, experience supernatural joy and peace, and are able to live a life that is meaningful. Here’s what Jesus said about it:

There’s a difference between a person having natural knowledge and spiritual knowledge. Not all people who are acclaimed naturally have spiritual intelligence.
An example of this can be discerned between the conversation between Nicodemus and Jesus. Nicodemus is celebrated as a well versed teacher in Israel, yet his lack of spiritual intelligence and understanding is uncovered in his exchange with Jesus.
Another example is when Jesus told the leaders of Israel that they were so good at discerning the weather and seasons naturally but they lacked the ability to discern what season and time they were in spiritually.
There is a difference between knowledge and understanding. Knowledge can be repeated through memorization while understanding and wisdom require practical application and partnership with natural knowledge.
This is one of the reasons why Jesus spoke in parables, because spiritual principles are more easily taught through the intentional observance of natural things.
This is another reason why we must stay humble. Jesus instructed His disciples that they were to be as wise as serpents but as harmless as doves, ultimately He was telling them to acknowledge their need for worldly wisdom, but to submit that worldly wisdom to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
They were to use wisdom to bring healing and restoration, not destruction and confusion. Once again, this shows that natural knowledge has its place in this world, but God’s wisdom and intelligence reigns supreme. #alphatalk
