Being a mom to these sweet little babes is by far the most challenging and most rewarding role I have as a woman 🤍 Some favorite parts are watching them learn and grow, and when their faces light up with smiles and laughter. 🌸 I’m constantly reminding myself to instill in them that they are much more than sweet, cute & pretty girls. That they’re strong, brave, fearless, tenacious, and kind girls. I actively toe the line between protecting them and letting them run free, be curious and explore. As they grow I’m sure these decisions and choices get more difficult with greater risks and rewards. Things are always changing and I learn so much from them every day. For now I’m enjoying the journey with my mini built-in best friends forever 🤍🌸

Baby Shea Update!!!

Happy Friday! Shea had an awesome week. Today overnight she came out of her isolette (we’ve been calling it her tank, sorry Shea) and is into a regular crib.

The feeding tube was removed this morning!! This was the first photo I took once her tube came out 😍😍😍 tongue out, how appropriate.

Shea is so so cute without all of the tubes and wires!!! Her cheeks and double chins are to die for. Don’t worry babe, Mommy will help you work your angles 😅😉 sorry to say Daddy will be capturing you with all the chinssss forever and ever

A Byrd’s eye view 😉 Baby Shea update: she’s 12 days today, her IV fluids have completely finished, the UV lights are done again (these come & go it seems), she’s gaining weight, her feeds are increasing, her breathing is still a bit fast at times but she is doing super well and getting so much stronger each day. Love this little peanut so much. Looking forward to the day we can take Shea home 🤍
