ENDURING CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

Thinking back on past years as our Trilby post office is undergoing major renovations, it's interesting the "small things" that are forever associated with this building in my mind: The neutral, but rather pleasant "post office scent" when coming in the door, the click-and-clack of the post office box doors opening and closing, greetings and conversations with neighbors, the pounding sound of rubber-stamping of mail, and visits with postmistress Lillie Mae Couey and her assistants, Lovea Thomas and Bessie Robbins, and especially hearing Lil's pleasant humming while she worked. All good things and never forgotten memories that can carry us back anytime to our prior days in Trilby.

BEWARE!!!! 😡I need everyone's help!!! On 7/11, I went to the EZ Clean Car Wash & 10 min oil change in Dade City. Dade City Car Wash*I have been fed up with Walmart & wanted to support local businesses* NOW I WISH I HADN'T!!!!
I didn't get 2 miles and my car would not go. So, I was broke down in town. I called and spoke with Stephanie & was told to have it towed back and if it was their fault she would reimburse me for the tow. After sitting on the side of the road in the hot sun Sunni and I finally made it back there. They admitted fault, saying there was no oil filter even on it and not sure how that happened. The guys quickly filled it up and did their best to fix it. I left and it was 100 x's worse. Stephanie met me with a coworker and had my car towed to Integrity Automotive where they confirmed the MOTOR WAS BLOWN. $4000 to fix it. They offered me $3500 and they take my car. I asked for $3500 and me keep my car. They refused. Meanwhile, I am out of a car and no way to work. We go back and forth. I cannot find my title BECAUSE I HAD NO INTENTIONS OF EVER GETTING RID OF THIS CAR. IT WAS SO DEPENDABLE AND ONLY 1 OWNER BEFORE ME (WHO IS FAMILY) Now, I have to spend $82 for a title. I also spoke with Eddie where he offered ONLY $2500 for the car, which is CRAP! 😭
