As this firewood season comes to a close (for deliveries), we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your loyal support of Harber Hardwood. It's been our pleasure to help keep your homes warm and cozy this winter.

We’d like to let you know that our supply of seasoned firewood is now limited, And could possibly be mixed with unseasoned wood. However, we still have plenty of unseasoned firewood available that can be delivered and prepared for next year's use.

🔥 How to Start a Fire Pit Fire the Right Way 🔥

Tired of smoky, smoldering messes in your fire pit? The secret to a clean, lasting fire is building a strong base. Here’s how:

1️⃣ Start Small:
You can’t light big logs directly! Begin with tinder (dry leaves, newspaper, or wood shavings) and kindling (small sticks or twigs). These catch fire easily and create enough heat for the larger logs.

2️⃣ Build the Structure:

Arrange your tinder in the center of the pit.

Add kindling on top in a teepee or crisscross (log cabin) pattern, leaving room for airflow.

Gradually stack larger logs around this base. This is KEY!

3️⃣ Light It Up:
Ignite the tinder and let the flames grow naturally. The heat from the kindling will ignite the larger logs when they’re ready—no rushing!

4️⃣ Keep It Clean:
A proper base ensures steady flames and minimal smoke. Skip the urge to douse big logs with lighter fluid; patience is key!

🔥 Pro Tip: Use dry, seasoned wood to avoid smoke and frustration. Never leave your fire unattended, and always extinguish it properly.

Alright, let’s break this down: our 5 ft x 10 ft x 32-inch dump trailer overstuffed with firewood (courtesy of our trusty skid steer) holds about 1 to 1.25 LOOSE cords of firewood. Now, don’t get it twisted—we don’t stack unless someone is on punishment (and trust us, that’s not a fun place to be). What you’re getting is a glorious pile of precisely dumped logs that might just roll away like they’re trying to escape.

But hey, if you’re one of those Tetris gods, you will be able to make it look slightly organized, but that's on you, not us.

And just because it's getting cold doesn't mean we're going to hit you with some insane price 💰 because you're desperate for firewood. There is no overcharging you just because it's sweater weather. You pay for the wood, not the fantasy.
