Midwest Book Review

We were thrilled to have this review arrive for our title, Hatchet Women from the Mid-West Book review:

Edie Firebaugh and her team of young, career-oriented women, are coerced to dye their hair to blend into their insurance company's event planning department to conceal their real work in special investigations, fraud prevention, and agent termination. As they ascend, and infiltrate the company's hierarchy, they uncover a layered scheme in the private placement annuity unit, which limits pay-outs to customers through mass murders designed to look like tragic accidents. The unit also happens to be the most profitable for their company. Critique: Original, entertaining, compelling, "Hatchet Women" is a consistently riveting read and clearly showcases author Nick Sconce and his genuine flair for deftly created characters and impressive storytelling skills. While very highly recommended, especially for community library General Fiction collections, it should be noted for personal reading lists that "Hatchet Women" is also available in a Kindle format ($3.99).
