A system will bring snow and gusty winds to the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest between Tuesday and Wednesday. There still remains some uncertainty in track and strength of the system. Should the system move through the region weaker and/or further away, gusty winds will still occur. However, less snow will limit impacts. Should the system move through stronger and closer to the region, relatively greater winter impacts from gusty winds and snow accumulation greater than 3 inches can be expected. Greatest chance (20%) for winter storm impacts resides west of the Red River Valley, especially Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. This may affect the Wednesday morning commute. Continue to monitor the forecast for updates as uncertainty lessens. Those west of the Red River Valley, consider preparing for winter conditions.
