Established in 1995 IMP Studios has hosted top recording artists of all genres from Rock 'n' Roll to Gospel and everything in between. But it goes beyond music.

IMP brought home it's first Grammy Award in 2014. "All projects bring unique challenges. My job is to help you navigate the minefield to produce something great from just an idea." Our chief engineer said it, but this attitude drives everyone you’ll meet at IMP Studios. It’s one of the reasons that since 1995, we've been recording some of the most recognizable names in rock, gospel and most any ge

nre you can download. And the same care that crafts our major releases goes into the music of local artists stepping into a studio for the first time. Our voice-over clients create content for TV and radio shows and commercials, documentaries, indie films and Web projects, and we support sound-design projects with original music, extensive sound FX and well-stocked music libraries. An excellent tribute! I still can’t believe how lucky I was to have worked so closely with Big Daddy for more than 10 years. The thing that struck me early on was Leslie’s sense of melody. That was his secret weapon! Yes, his unique choice of gear, his amazing touch on the instrument, his influences and friends like Waddy Wachtel were all very important… but take it from someone who really knows, Leslie’s sense of melody was a direct reflection of his heart and soul. And THAT was the driving force behind Leslie’s musical legacy. RIP Big Daddy

RIP Al

Saying that Al Schmitt had a legendary career in the recording industry is the ultimate understatement. From his early days at Apex Recording Studio tracking Duke Ellington to working with Henry Mancini to capturing Sam Cooke, Neil Young, Madonna, Ray Charles and countless others, he truly did it all. Al, thank you for a lifetime of lessons. We’ll keep listening and continue learning. RIP
