Sad news from Five Threads Brewing Company, LLC.: Sunday, Jan. 30 will be your last chance to visit the taproom and stock up on its sours, stouts and beers from its Five Shades of Blonde series.
We're wishing Tim and the Threads crew all the best.

My Dear Thread Heads,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that after 6 hard fought years, Five Threads Brewery is closing permanently. Unfortunately we have not been able to scale up our sales fast enough to cover rising expenses and we find ourselves at the end of our funds. We will be open the rest of this week as usual and Sunday, January 30th will be our final day open.

It has been a great journey and I am so happy to have had the chance to meet and share good times and great beer with you. Thank you for all of the support you have provided through the years.

We have been working hard to can up as much of our product as possible so you can stock up on your favorites one last time.

I would be honored to meet you in the tap room to share a pint and reminisce over the coming week and will be present as much as I can to do so.

My plan after closing is to return to the world of biotech and cancer research at least for now. You’ll be the first to know if I or my recipes make a return to the craft beer market in the future.

Thank you once again for the great memories.

A memorial for missing Ventura-based fisherman Vuong Tran is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Ventura Harbor Village, 1449 Spinnaker Drive.
Tran, who has been fishing in the region for more than 25 years, was last seen motoring out of the harbor on Dec. 8. His unoccupied boat was later found off the coast near Carpinteria. https://bit.ly/3yIn50i

Fisherman Vuong Tran headed out to sea from Ventura Harbor last week. He never made it home.
