I just started my second semester at Berklee Music Online. I got an A+ in my first class which was Logic Pro Production. It was almost all midi, midi keyboards and controllers, and synth. There was a tiny bit of audio in there also.
It was brutal.
I don't have a midi or keyboard background. It took me until about 3/4s through or later to get the basic concepts that were started at about a third through the semester. I won't get into what all those terms mean but you can check Wikipedia if you are curios.
The new semester is Mixing and Mastering for the Electronic Musician and it's all audio. This semester looks like it's a breeze in comparison. There is a lot of assignment work but at least I'm familiar with the concepts. It just goes a lot deeper. This is the first time I've ever applied myself like this in a school setting. I never saw the benefit of school when like everyone else, I was compelled to go through it. I didn't have the opportunity to learn then what I'm learning now, either.
Thanks to Mandy and Misty for supporting me in this and helping me get the space and time to do it. I'll be more than proficient in Logic and Pro Tools when I'm finished and I'll have a Certificate to show for it.

This is the classic lineup that played on this record except for bassist Chris Squire. Tony Levin was supposed to be on this but I believe that Jeff Berlin from Allen Holdsworth's band is playing bass here. It sounds right with Bruford playing drums.

I've been kind of quiet here while I wrap some stuff up and take the next step at 3M Studios. I just finished a semester at Berklee Online for Logic Pro Production. I got an A and I move on to the next two classes for certification.
On the 3M front, we are undergoing a massive personnel change. Here are are new hires and consultants.
