Robert Whaley and his trio are back at Bohemian Hall, Astoria, THIS THURSDAY, 7/6!

The last of a dying breed in an area once rife with beer gardens, this community-driven sole survivor is everything one should be, with spacious indoor and outdoor seating, a leafy setting and frequent entertainment.

Palačinky (sweet and savory crepes) and rich goulash highlight the Czech-inspired menu. Beers imported from Eastern Europe add to the Slovak setting, full of picnic tables & trees.

Plus there is the Robert Whaley 3, bringing it with a showy, storefront church-style presentation: take a dash of Herb Albert, a pinch of David Bowie, add a handful of Andy Kaufman, and there you have it. Legends in New York City, fans have included everyone from Ethan Hawke to Edie Falco to the fine people of Anthrax.

We’re back in Manhattan THIS SUNDAY, October 9,  at the loveliest place on the Upper East Side – the Penrose, which features old-fashioned cocktails, awesome beer and whiskey list, and a really cool reclaimed wood look – including vintage wallpaper!
 
And of course, there is US!
